THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 IS ALREADY SERVING LOOKS

SUMMER IN THE CITY

We don’t know where Andy’s working by the time the reboot rolls around, but this colourful summer dress certainly doesn’t scream corporate office attire. A far cry from the pant suits and baker-boy caps of the first film, this look is fresh, elevated and fun. The structured bucket hat is a clever way to make casual hot-weather dressing feel more luxurious – and there’s even a touch of boho in the leather wedges (we love a trend-aware queen!).

THE DEVIL'S IN THE DETAIL

It was the pap shot heard around the world: Miranda Priestly is back. And besides her infamous white pixie cut, much has changed in the styling department. Once a purveyor of the dark and moody colour palette, this new Miranda is stepping out in a melange of beige, tan and… purple? We can’t say it’s a popular pairing, but that’s what makes her a fashion trailblazer. If you’re looking to add some colour to your office wardrobe, this is a great ref – the lightweight trench adds movement without bulking out the look, while the clash of leather and satin adds dimension to an otherwise simple get-up.

PAUSE FOR PINSTRIPES

We take it back – Andy can still rock a corporate ‘fit. This pinstripe pant suit is deliciously 80s and still feels relevant, drawing on trending menswear prints and an alt balloon trouser to offset the point-toe boots. From the blacked-out shades to the briefcase bag and the crosswalk phone call, this is giving ‘boss’ in every essence of the word.

PREPPED AND PREPPY

Simone Ashley is one of a handful of new cast members joining the sequel, and she’s already proving her worth on the fashion side of things. This feels every bit the ode to Andy’s OG Chanel looks, with the layered white shirt, knee-high socks and elaborate mini dress. The leather straps make this look feel a touch more modern – honestly, we can’t fault it.

OFF-DUTY DENIM

The last of our previews into the world of post-Runway Andy, this denim skirt is giving 90s minimalism in the best way. You can never go wrong with a crisp white tank and denim combo – as this ‘fit so rightly proves. Clutching her beloved newspaper as an accessory feels a touch on the nose, but we’ll withhold judgment. After all, Andy’s chunky sandals (Chanel, of course) and waistcoat do enough heavy lifting to make this uber-simply outfit feel fresh and elevated.
