LOOPED LOOK #002: GET SUMMERY WITH THE SIDESTRIPE

Vans Old Skools have been a firm favourite for a hot minute now. So when these new woven editions touched down, it was a no-brainer to make them star of the show for the second edition of Looped Looks.

The Old Skool’s most distinctive feature, the Sidestripe, is switched up for the silhouette’s latest luxe rework. Instead of the usual stitched suede and leather combo, Vans has drawn unlikely inspiration from those dad-approved woven huarache sandals. Thankfully the result is altogether cooler. Here, the Old Skool has been upgraded with a braided leather upper in a summer-ready shade of soft pink.

These acid-wash jeans from Edwin’s SS17 offering and a Hawaiian shirt keep the dream of warm-weather dressing alive, but a flannel shacket is a wise option for these choppy transitional times. Plus, layers innit?
