The basics

  • Returns are free for ASOS account holders on qualifying orders.
  • If you have an ASOS account, we may deduct and retain £3.95 from your refund in accordance with our Fair Use Policy (see here for further details).
  • If you placed your order as a guest, a £3.95 returns fee will apply - this’ll be automatically deducted from your refund.
  • You have 28 days from the date your order was delivered or made available for collection to place your return and send it back to us. If your order arrives in more than one parcel, the 28-day returns timeframe will start when the final parcel is delivered or available for collection.
  • All returns are subject to our Original Condition and Fair Use policies – check out our Returns Policy.
  • If you choose an ASOS voucher as your refund option, the voucher will be added to your account and ready to use as soon as you create your return.
  • If you choose a standard refund instead, it can take up to 10 calendar days for your return to reach our warehouse. Once we've processed it, your refund may take up to 10 working days to reach your account (this depends on your bank or payment provider). Read more about how refunds work here.

Exchanges

Using our website or the iOS App? You may see an option to exchange your item! If you've chosen ‘Too big/Too long’ or ‘Too small/Too short’ as your reason when placing your return, you may see an option to exchange your item for a different size or colour (as long as it’s in stock). This excludes all items sold by ASOS Brand Partners, as well as any swimwear, underwear, and other selected categories.

If this option is presented to you and you decide to exchange your item, we’ll send your replacement to the same delivery address with the original delivery method.

Please note, you won’t be able to exchange your item if you’ve placed your order as a guest.

Something's not quite right with an item you received?

For more info on faulty and incorrect items, follow this link.

All returned items will be inspected upon arrival. If our Quality Control team are unhappy with the condition an item has been returned in (e.g., tags have been removed, or there are signs of wear) and we’re unable to put it back into stock, we may not be able to accept your return and may have to send it back to you.

Placing your return with an ASOS account

Follow this link if you're returning an item sold and shipped by an ASOS Brand Partner.

  1. Go to ‘My Account’ and open ‘My Orders’. Select ‘Create Return’ on the order you want to return. Please note: you won't see this button if all the items in your order were shipped by an ASOS Brand Partner.
Returning items from multiple orders? No problem - you’ll see all items from the orders you can still return on your screen.* Just make sure all the items you've placed your return for fit into one parcel! Each parcel you're returning has to be registered separately.
  2. Select the items you’re returning and the reasons for return. If you're placing your return through our website or iOS App, you'll also see a comment box where you'll be asked to leave feedback on the item you're returning. This helps us improve our future products.
  3. If you're using our website, you'll also see an estimated refund when placing your return. Please note: this is an estimate only, and our Returns Policy still applies.
  4. Search for your nearest drop-off point. We'll email you a QR code, and you can also find it in ‘My Returns’.
  5. Choose how you’d like to receive your refund, if available. Depending on your return, you may be able to choose between a standard refund and an ASOS voucher. Voucher refunds may not be available for all returns.
  6. Once you've created your return, pack all the items you're returning into a single parcel. You can use any packaging you like – doesn’t have to be the one you received your order in - as long as it’s secure.
  7. Take your parcel and your QR code to your chosen drop-off point and they’ll take care of the rest.

*Please note: when combining your return with items from previous orders, you'll only be shown the orders that were delivered up to 14 days ago. You can still return qualifying items from orders delivered between 14 and 28 days ago, but you'll need to place your return directly from these orders.

Placing your return as a guest

Please use the returns platform here and follow the instructions on the screen to create your return.

Available return carriers and drop-off points depend on your location and will be shown during the return process. If you’re returning with a QR code, make sure to take it with you when dropping off your return. Some carriers may require you to print a return label – don’t forget to attach it to your parcel.

Please note, if you’d like to return several guest orders, you’ll need to return them separately, and each guest order will need to be registered through the returns platform above.

Want to book a collection instead? Follow this link for more info on how collections work.

Packing your return

Please make sure all the items you’ve selected to return fit in one parcel. If they don’t, you'll need to create a separate return for the second parcel with the items in it – it’ll have its own QR code and tracking number.

You can send your return back in the original box or bag - just remember to remove or cover the original delivery label. You can also send us any opened or used ASOS packaging that you’ve received with any recent orders. We know that not all local recycling facilities accept every type of plastic packaging.

Dropping off your return

You’ll choose your drop-off point when creating your return. If you need to use a different location, your QR code can be used at any drop-off point provided by the same carrier.

If you choose to return through another method, it's your responsibility to pay for your return. Don’t forget to keep your proof of postage!

Our returns address is: ASOS DC2, GXO Logistics, Armthorpe, Doncaster, DN3 3FB, UK.

Cancelling your return

Changed your mind? You don't need to cancel your return. Simply don't send your items back to us. If you've booked a collection, just don't leave your parcel out for collection, or let the driver know when they arrive that you're no longer returning it.

Waiting for your refund

You can track the progress of your return by using the tracking number that can be found in the ‘My Returns’ tab in ‘My Account’. If you’ve checked out as a guest, you’ll only be able to see this number in your return drop-off confirmation email. Keep hold of your proof of postage in case you need to contact us.

Note: if you returned your order using an InPost locker, you’ll need to proactively request virtual proof of postage. Simply scan the QR code on the locker screen, input your email address, and select 'Confirm'.

If you use the ASOS app, make sure to enable push notifications to be notified when your return has been processed. Get more information on notifications here.

Your delivery charge may be refunded in some circumstances, for example if you've returned your entire order within 14 days of being received or available for collection and it aligns with our Fair Use and Original Condition policies, if the entire order was faulty or incorrect, or if your order has been cancelled under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. You can read more in our Ts&Cs here.
