SABRINA CARPENTER'S GUIDE TO SHORT N' SWEET STYLE
By Flo Bellinger, 4 July 2025
SPOTLIGHTING THE HIGH-LEG

Let’s start with a showstopper. Short queens are often told to avoid floor-length gowns for fear they’ll swamp smaller frames – but this look proves otherwise. The secret ingredient here is a thigh-high slit to highlight the leg, which packs extra punch when paired with a nude platform heel. The best part about this kind of dress? The shape allows for easy movement from daytime to dance floor – no awkward mermaid shuffle here.

PINT-SIZE TAILORING

Sabrina might be known for her carousel of skirts and dresses, but that doesn’t mean she’s afraid of mixing things up. This tailored LV look is the perfect alt for formal occasions: pairing an oversized blazer with heels and a bare leg creates a mini dress vibe that still feels sharp and boxy. Fastening the collar creates a top-heavy, blocky effect that draws the eye down toward the leg, while the pointed heels finish the outfit’s clean lines for a seamless get-up.

CINCHED SILHOUETTES

Another of Sabrina’s go-to hacks is the cinched waist. Take this flawless bejewelled dress as a prime example. By gathering everything at the midline, a sweeping dress avoids looking shapeless and oozes definition. The corset silhouette also cuts the dress a little higher than usual, creating a statement silhouette. The key here is ensuring the perfect fit – if this dress was trailing along the floor? Very different story.

FITTED FASHION

Amping up the fitted frame, Sabrina often opts for a sculpted bodice that serves up all the right levels of old-Hollywood glamour. The cool silver shade compliments her icy blonde hair, but there’s plenty of room to play with textures and tones in this style. We're a little obsessed.

MICRO MINI SKIRTS

Micro minis are everywhere this season, from bloomers to skirts and shorts. They’re also the perfect pocket-sized piece for our shorter girlies – leaving plenty of room for a leggy look. Sabrina leans on her trusty platform stilettos to really boost the silhouette, while a socks-and-sandals combo echoes the schoolgirl style throughout. We love the cropped polo to bring some shape to a traditionally masculine wardrobe staple – and the tiny glasses and structured purse are serving preppy princess in equal measure.

MONOCHROME CO-ORDS

Whether you’re grabbing a co-ord, a dress or a tailored ensemble, there’s one short style hack that works every time. Monochrome looks are not only timeless, but they also create a sweeping aesthetic that dials up the volume. We love Sabrina’s all-white mini skirt and crop look, which sees the return of her favoured high neckline and bare leg for a frame-balancing outfit. The train detail also helps to draw the eye down toward those killer platforms (also in white) for a colour-drench ‘fit that we still can’t stop thinking about.

BOLD BRALETTES

Finally, we’re bringing back one of Sabrina’s best carpet co-ords to date. Combining the best of her petite wardrobe, this look is monochromatic, flashes plenty of leg, and cinches with a high-waisted skirt. By opting for a bralette rather than a top, Sabrina makes her body the main event – and ensures her slight frame isn’t swallowed by fabric. As a sartorial cherry on top, the whole thing is finished with bold floral details that add texture and shape to an otherwise simple ‘fit. Who said short girls can’t have fun in the style department?
