HOW OUR ASOS INSIDERS STYLE BASICS

The foundations of any outfit lie in the basics. To give you some inspo for the new season and to make your wardrobe feel less, well, basic… we asked our ASOS Insiders what their favourite staples are and how they like to wear them for the office and beyond. Meet Courtney, Joe and Andrea as they give you a lesson in new-season styling.

'Nothing beats a classic white T-shirt! Effortlessly versatile, it serves as the perfect foundation for any outfit. I leaned into nostalgia, as I always do with my outfits. I paired the white T-shirt with a knitted zip-up, straight-leg check trousers and finished the look with burgundy loafers. An outfit is also never complete without my gold jewellery.'

'Basics don't mean boring. Styling a classic piece will elevate your style and help build up the ultimate capsule wardrobe. Silhouettes also play a big part in the overall look, so I would recommend keeping the trousers baggy and the tops boxy to create an editorial-style fit.'

'When I think basics, I think joggers and a sweater – it's an easy and comfy outfit combo and my favourite look to wear when I want to look good with no effort. I love to elevate a minimalist 'fit with a tailored coat but kept it on the casual side with brown Birkenstocks, a beanie and a grey scarf.'
