INTRODUCING: ASOS MADE IN KENYA SS18

ASOS MADE IN KENYA SS18 is here. The limited-edition collection is once again created with SOKO Kenya – an ethical clothing manufacturer that we've partnered with since 2010. Plus, for the first time ever, it's unisex and features guest collaborators. So, here’s everything you need to know.

Maybe you’re familiar with ASOS MADE IN KENYA, maybe you're not... Well, we're continuing to work closely with SOKO Kenya in Rukinga, Kenya, who not only make our collection but also run a stitching academy to upskill people, as well as provide training and access to healthcare for the local community. As they grow, more jobs and training opportunities are created in this remote area – and SOKO Kenya has grown from four to over 50 employees in the last eight years.

The range is designed in London by ASOS, then sent to Kenya to be cut and manufactured. What’s new for SS18, though, is that we’ve asked four collaborators to design their own pieces for the collection. These include brother and sister duo 2ManySiblings, Beats 1 radio presenter Julie Adenuga and model Leomie Anderson.

The other thing that’s new is that the collection is unisex, with pieces for men and women – and items that can be worn by anyone. Due to the size of the factory and the handmade elements, each range is only able to be made in small numbers, so don’t sleep on adding to bag.
