Ethics and Compliance Statement for ASOS

Here at ASOS, we’re committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all we do. We do this for our staff, customers, and the communities we operate in.

Our Ethical Standards

Our code of conduct sets the standard and expectation for ethical behaviour at ASOS. It empowers our staff to speak up and serves as the foundation of our organisation’s culture, prioritising safety and ethical decision-making. Our staff, at every level, are made aware of our ethical standards when they join us and confirm they’ll act in accordance with our code as part of their onboarding. We also expect our contractors and their employees to adhere to these principles.

Whistleblowing

The importance of speaking up if anyone witnesses unsafe, unlawful, or unethical behaviour is a key part of upholding our standards. Our code makes it clear that ASOSers have a responsibility to report any concerns, and these can be raised through their line managers, senior leaders, our compliance and legal teams, and our confidential global helpline, SPOT. We take concerns seriously, thoroughly review and respond to them, and conduct investigations if needed.

Anti-Bribery and Corruption

Managing the risks related to bribery and corruption is an essential part of maintaining our ethical standards, especially in areas where the risk could be high. We have group-wide policies prohibiting anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, fraud, and sanctions, which include measures to assess and minimise risks, understand relevant laws, and report any concerns. We provide appropriate training for our employees in high-risk areas to ensure they are well-equipped to handle these challenges, and we’re dedicated to maintaining ethical and compliant operations which align with our values..
