STYLING

HERE'S WHAT TO WEAR TO THE NEXT FESTIVAL DEPENDING ON YOUR STYLE

June’s the month of music – everyone’s either revising the lyrics to their favourite bops or prepping their festi outfits. We’ve already broken down the history of festival fashion and the celebs who made their mark, but what about your head-turning look? If you’re still figuring it out, let us offer some ‘fitspo – whether you’re dipping your feet into boho or a veteran raver who wants their look to be just as loud as the music, here’s what to wear to the next festival.

#1: BOHO + WESTERN

Boho and western are cut from the same cloth. In fact, both include SS25’s biggest trends: fringing, 70s denim and crochet styles. So, if you’re trying out one, why not add elements of the other, too? Rock a suede jacket with a denim co-ord – this one from Wrangler is very Beyoncé-coded – and top it off with cowboy boots. If the weather’s on your side, you can swap the co-ord for a crochet dress that works on its own, but can also be styled as a layering piece over a bikini or shorts.

#2: DISCO

If wearing sparkles is your preference, the micro-short trend is one way to do it! Whether you're seeing Kesha, Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter headline this year, enter your disco era with this glittering pair and team with some rimless shades to complete the look. We’re also obsessed with this silver cowl-neck top that can be dialled down with help from wide-leg jeans – it’s giving main-character energy with zero effort.

#3: Y2K

If you’re loyal to the Alexa Chung and Kate Moss festival lookbook, you’ve got to try this classic combo of extra wide leg trousers and a vest. Wellies from heritage brands like Barbour and Hunter are essential for acing the look and for hiking from stage to stage across muddy fields. Looking for a wellie alternative? Go for black boots and pair them with a slouchy mini dress for a true indie-sleaze revival.

GET THE LOOK:
adidas Originals Adicolor body in black, £35
COLLUSION balloon leg trouser in khaki, £29.99
Monki long sleeve draped mini dress in khaki, £25

Heading somewhere with Charli XCX in the lineup? We’ve got you. While brands like adidas have kept their spot as rave fashion headliners since the 90s, today's warehouse ravers lean into grungier and more cyber-ready visuals. Think statement denim, bright track jackets and metal-accented crop tops for that optional show of skin. Trainers are non-negotiable here, so slip into a pair of Nike Shox for a techy feel.

GET THE LOOK:
adidas Originals crochet track jacket in pink and orange, £80
Nike Shox TL trainers in white and lilac, £154.99
Minga London seam detail washed baggy jeans in black, £82
COLLUSION halter neck eyelet detail black crop top, £24.99
