Trends may come and go, but minimalism is forever – and Nicholas Hoult knows it. He’s been busy filming back-to-back: wearing 19th-century costume in Nosferatu, playing Superman’s bald archnemesis Lex Luthor, and most recently, going peroxide blonde for How to Rob a Bank. And with all those characters to contend with, it’s no wonder he keeps things pared back on his days off. Nicholas nailed it on the streets of NYC with a classic watch, effortless sunglasses and a leather bag that stole the show. The only rule? Avoid coffee spillages at all costs.

Nicholas was spotted pairing a white vest with brown tailored trousers and a brown short-sleeve shirt – clean lines, and wonderfully tonal. The blue-tinted sunglasses were the cherry on top.
