EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT TENNIS – HERE'S HOW TO GET THE LOOK
By Symone Keisha, 16 June 2025
Sports-inspired fashion isn't a new concept. We're in an age where football jerseys are everywhere, running shoes are a hot commodity, and gorpcore is at the forefront of fashion. This season, it's all eyes on tennis. It piqued our interest last year with Luca Guadagnino's Challengers, and as we're currently sitting between the Australian Open and Wimbledon, tennis is firmly on our minds. It doesn't matter if you're not the next Jannik Sinner, you can get your tennis fix off the court with these three styling tips.
#1: INVEST IN TENNIS WHITES

We don't want to state the obvious, but you can't speak on tennis attire without talking tennis whites. Although the centuries-old rule is strict on the courts of Wimbledon, when styling yourself this summer, you don't have to be so literal. Crisp white shirts and polos are a good choice, but off-white, cream and two-tone looks are just as good.

#2: LOOK TO THESE WARDROBE STAPLES
Polo shirts, crisp tailoring, summer knits and collegiate-style pieces are key to this aesthetic, especially when paired with chinos or tailored shorts. Tennis goes hand-in-hand with the old-money aesthetic, but for 2025, don't be afraid to go more relaxed with it. The cheat code? Find the sweet spot between what a spectator and a player would wear – on and off the court. For footwear, opt for low-profile trainers, loafers and boat shoes.
#3: KNOW YOUR BRAND HISTORY
To nail the aesthetic, look to brands with strong tennis roots. Polo Ralph Lauren is a sure thing – the brand is the official outfitter of the Wimbledon Championships, having created tournament uniforms and signature collections since 2006. Plus, you can shop the Polo Ralph Lauren x Wimbledon edit right now on ASOS. Lacoste is another brand to look to for your fix of tennis-inspired looks, as it was founded in 1933 by French tennis star René Lacoste. And don't forget the adidas Stan Smith, named after the former world no. 1 player and two-time major singles champion.
