WHY RÚBEN DIAS IS WINNING ON AND OFF THE PITCH

Whether it’s Portugal’s UEFA Nations League win or declaring his love for Maya Jama, Rúben Dias has made headlines this week, and we're not mad about it. Something that hasn’t had enough airtime, though, is his style. Whether he’s keeping his off-duty days stylish or levelling up for a red-carpet event, the Man City player’s style never disappoints. At the Ballon d’Or, you’ve got to be looking your finest, and Rúben pulled out a timeless hattrick: a navy double-breasted suit, black tie and a crisp white shirt. Sorry, but if one player could win the trophy for most double-takes, it’s him. Just goes to show you don’t need to rewrite the red-carpet dress code to get noticed.

A footballer in tennis-adjacent attire? We’re here for it. Rúben’s all-white outfit not only nails the smart-casual dress code, but also creates a blank canvas for those black loafers to stand out courtside. He completed the ‘fit with slim shades and a golden watch – minimal accessories for maximum impact.

An unexpected look will always get you plenty of style points, and this clean-cut outfit he wore to the MTV EMAs in 2024 put him on the red-carpet podium for football’s most-stylish. His large hat felt like a power move, whilst his jacket draped over the shoulders was intentional. This is going straight on our summer-event moodboard.

Football, tennis, racing… is there a sport he hasn’t tapped into yet?
