WHAT TO WEAR TO TYLER, THE CREATOR'S CHROMAKOPIA TOUR
By Ayis Stephen-Diver, 5 May 2025
The EU leg of Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia tour began in April, and both we and social media are hyped. His three-night takeover of London’s O2 arena kicks off 19 May, and while you’re probably not worried about reciting lyrics, your outfit might be TBD. Concerts nowadays are basically unofficial fashion shows – and Tyler’s not just any artist. We’re talking about the man who brought prep to hip-hop, wears pastel suits like no other and popularised knits in streetwear. In other words, a merch shirt won’t cut it. If you’re pulling up to this concert, you’d better pull a look – scroll for ideas.
#1: SKATER STYLE

It might be the Chromakopia tour, but that doesn’t mean you can’t throw it back to Tyler’s old style. Fans from his Wolf or Cherry Bomb eras will be familiar with his textbook skater-core: bright coloured Vans, borderline-obnoxious graphic tees, jorts, and a cap. It’s a look he shared with fellow Odd Future members – era-defining and charmingly chaotic. Channel it with a striped adidas tee reminiscent of the old-season Golf Wang or Guess tops he used to wear and a sugar-pink pair of Vans old Skool trainers. Signature skater brands like Dickies are you go-to for this Tumblr-ready ensemble.

#2: GRANDPA-CODED

Nostalgia’s nice, but Tyler’s style has evolved in recent years – his eclectic grandpa approach to fashion has taken over social media *and* runways. We’re pulling from his off-duty candids here: tailored trousers, loafers and a sunshine-yellow Kickers knit that looks straight out of his Flower Boy-era wardrobe. Is it too smart for a gig? Not if you ask T – he’s made a case for prep on every backdrop, mosh pits included. Dial up the look with accessories like gold or silver chains, a cap and a crossbody bag.

#3: SOMETHING SIMPLE

If you’re a fan of the basics, give the usual shirt-and-jeans combo a Chromakopia-themed refresh. The album’s signature green is both spring-ready and versatile – it plays well with black, white and slightly-washed denim. Don’t’ stress if you lack a pair of Golf Wang X Converse trainers, a pair of classic hi-top Chucks will do the job just as well. Tyler’s always favoured roomier jeans, so we’ve picked a straight-leg pair c/o Levi’s. Layer a long-sleeve shirt with a vest, not a tee – it’s going to be hot in there.
