BASHY AND ODEAL WORE ASOS DESIGN TO THE MOBO AWARDS

Legendary grime MC Bashy had a night to remember after winning Best Hip-Hop Act and Album of the Year for his incredible 11-track project Being Poor Is Expensive. As a West London native, his everyday uniform is usually a mix of techy tracksuits, modern streetwear or elevated basics – and he tapped into the latter for the MOBOs red carpet. His all-black ‘fit consisted of a turtleneck and tailored trousers by ASOS DESIGN, a boxy coat and statement boots. Monochrome looks don’t have to be one note:, play with textures and finishes like Bashy for your next soirée.

Singer/songwriter Odeal had a viral hit on his hands with Soh Soh, a collab with Summer Walker on You’re Stuck and released his EP Lustropolis in November – we’re not surprised that he won Best Newcomer and Best R&B/Soul act. His personal style lies somewhere between jazz club-cool and street-fresh, so his red-carpet look consisted of a carefree co-ord by ASOS DESIGN. He styled the set with a white vest c/o Tommy Hilfiger and accessorised with silver jewellery. If there’s anything to learn from the rising star, it’s that co-ords can be dressed up to elevate any occasion.
