BACK-TO-SCHOOL BAGS
By Matt Glazebrook, 17 September 2017
So you've got yourself a stellar new outfit for the autumn return to school/college/uni. But what are you going to use to transport your heavily annotated books, healthy packed lunch and early-morning-workout gym gear (assuming, obviously, a full raft of freshly minted new-term resolutions)? Sounds like you need a bag, friend. And luckily we've pulled together a few essential styles for you to choose from.
The backpack
Sharp enough to create a stir when you stride into the lecture theatre, comfortable enough for a hearty morning yomp to campus when the weather is fine (or you missed the bus), and sturdy enough to be used as a goalpost during a lunchtime kickabout: the backpack is the 'old faithful' of back-to-school luggage.
The tote bag
If a backpack feels a bit try-hard, then the tote bag could be the option for you. Swung slouchily on one shoulder for the minimum of book-carrying fuss, this versatile shopping-bag inspired style is also ideal if you need to pick up a few groceries on the way home.
The bum bag
A left-field choice for sure, but if you only need to bring a phone, wallet and pen to class, then why the heck not?
