What You Need To Know:

 

We love running promotions for you guys and we want to be as clear as possible on how you enter, and how the prize is drawn. Please read the nuts and bolts below for the full details.

 

  1. This promotion is open to ASOS lovers all around the world, but only those aged 18 or over. So that we are completely fair, anyone employed by us or professionally connected to this promotion is not allowed to enter.

 

  1. You must make sure that you take part in this Promotion (including accepting of any prize) and that you are in line with the laws in the country where you live. This Promotion won’t be valid if local national laws don’t allow it. We won’t confirm by anything we say or do as to whether the Promotion or your participation is allowed.

 

  1. This Promotion is not valid if your local laws or regulations don’t allow it or where local national laws prohibit or restrict participation.

 

  1. You don’t have to buy anything to take part in this promotion, but you do need internet access and a valid public Instagram account in order to enter.

 

  1. Promotion Period: You can enter between 9:00am GMT on the 24 November 2023 and 9:00am GMT on the 28 November 2023.

 

  1. To Enter: Entering this promotion is simple, just log onto your Instagram account (or create one for free), follow @ASOS, find the promotional post and comment underneath the post by tagging a friend. Then share the post to your story, screenshot your story and direct message the screenshot to @ASOS to enter the Prize Draw.

 

  1. You must keep your profile on a public setting and continue to follow @ASOS for 4 weeks after the end of the Promotion Period in order to be contacted if you are selected as a winner.

 

  1. We’re sorry, but a maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person during the Promotion Period. No person may win more than 1 Prize.

     

     

  2. The Prizes: There will be a total of 1 winner. The winner will win 1 x £1000 ASOS gift voucher for themselves and 1 x £1000 ASOS gift voucher for a friend.If the winner is from outside of the UK, they will receive a voucher of the same value in the currency of their jurisdiction.

     

  3. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
  1. The winner will receive two individual gift voucher codes via email, one of themselves and one for their friend. The voucher codes must be registered to their ASOS accounts as credit. An ASOS account will need to be set up to use the gift voucher (if the winner and their guest haven’t done this already).
  2. Unless otherwise limited or prohibited by law, in the UK the gift voucher will have its own expiry date of 2 years from the date of receipt. In the US, the gift voucher will not have an expiry date. In any country outside the UK and US, the gift voucher will expire 10 years from the date of receipt. The expiry date will be made clear when the voucher is sent to the winner.
  3. Gift vouchers can be used as part or full payment against eligible items on the ASOS websites (this does not include ASOS Marketplace or the purchase of other ASOS gift vouchers).
  4. Gift vouchers can be used against shipping costs.
  5. Unless otherwise required by law, no cash refunds will be given but any balance remaining on the gift voucher is locked to the winner’s account and can be used against future purchases.

  1. Winner Selection: So that you know we’ve selected our winners fairly from all the valid entries we receive, the random draw will be carried out by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service to select 1 provisional winner. The draw will take place within 5 working days of the end of the Promotion Period.

 

  1. Contacting the Winners: We’ll contact the provisional winners via the social media account used to enter within 5 working days of Winner Selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners. If a winner does not respond to the initial contact within 14 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.

 

  1. Prize Acceptance: If you are one of our lucky provisional winners, once we have confirmed you as a winner, we will contact you to arrange your prize within 28 days of the date you accept the Prize when contacted by ASOS, in accordance with the email address provided by you. In the unlikely event that you don’t hear from us, you’ll have a further 28 days to inform us by emailing asosblackfriday@promowinners.com. If you don’t let us know within this time frame, we will reserve the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at our sole discretion.

 

  1. Moderation: We can’t accept any entries which we think:
  2. Contain any content that is likely to be considered offensive by us or could reflect negatively the name, reputation, or goodwill of ASOS or any brand partner;
  3. Include trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material not owned by you or used without the right holder's prior written permission (including famous names, company names, etc.);
  4. Defames, misrepresents, or insult other people or companies, including, but not limited to ASOS (including its partners); or
  5. Promotes any political agenda.

 

  1. Provided no objection is received from the winners, we’ll make a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners available 4 weeks after the close of the Promotion Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be available on www.promowinners.com/asosblackfriday. Winners can object to their details being published during the Winner Notification process, however, we will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority when requested by them.

 

  1. Sorry, but you can’t transfer the Prize to someone else or exchange it for a cash alternative.

 

  1. If, for reasons we can’t control, the Prize is no longer available, we’ll offer you an alternative Prize which we hope you’ll still love but which will definitely be of equal or greater value.

 

The Legal and Other Bits

No one likes the small print, but we need to let you know about some other important stuff too and make you feel comfortable that we run our promotions properly, fairly (and legally!):

 

  1. Data Privacy: We care a lot about the security of your personal data and it will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy here: www.asos.com/privacy-policy/ and will be used for the purposes of this promotion and for research and analytical purposes. We will only share your data with our Fulfilment Partners for the to fulfil this promotion.

 

  1. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.

 

  1. We seek to run a fair and secure promotions and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entry (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified, any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and we reserve the right to bar you from entering future promotions of ours for a period of at least six months.  For this reason, we reserve the right at any point to:

 

  1. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information we consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld unless and until verification is completed satisfactorily.

 

  1. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.

 

  1. Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.

 

  1. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.

 

  1. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, multiple SIM cards for Text entries, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.

 

  1. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.

 

  1. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not fully meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.

 

  1. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. We can’t guarantee continuous or secure access to Instagram.

     

  2. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Instagram, and Instagram is not responsible for any element of this Promotion.

 

 

  1. We and our associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (JS14347) or accepting or using the Prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

     

  2. We won’t be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.

     

  3. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

     

  4. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

     

  5. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.

     

  6. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
