Wednesday is back. No, not the midweek hump day – the hit Netflix series of course. To celebrate its triumph return, titular star Jenna Ortega has been hitting the press tour in a series of deliciously gothic looks. From vampy makeup (complete with bleached brows) to sharp silhouettes and ghoulish gowns, scroll for all the 'fits that have been on our mind lately.

When you think of gothic style, black is probably the colour that springs to mind. But Jenna Ortega – always one to think outside of the box – has flipped the script on haunting haute couture. These recent looks are succulently subtle in their pale tones but still exude ghost glam. From the exposed corseting reminiscent of a spine (genius), to the floating satin that oozes cobweb chic, we can’t get enough of these hyper-feminine takes on spooks-ville.

As we head into autumn, browns and earthy tones are sure to make a comeback. And this ‘fit combines seasonal shades with trending boho textures. Think mesh and frill in equal measure, but still balanced by grounding leather, suede, and incredible tailoring to ensure nothing feels too OTT. We love the addition of a statement cross necklace for nods to gothic glamour and the cocktail of cool-season textures is enough to have us pining for colder weather.

The queen of transforming herself for the carpet, each Wednesday press look has us itching to dust off that smoky-eye palette we buried in a drawer years ago. The un-done berry red lip and pale complexion is a welcome change from all the bronzed sunny looks we’ve seen recently – but perhaps the most genius addition to her latest looks? A set of bleached brows. Combined with dark eye makeup, this statement dye-job accentuates Jenna’s incredible bone structure and provides plenty of inspo for our winter beauty routine.
