MEET LAW ROACH, OUR NEW STYLIST IN RESIDENCE

The rumours are true: Law Roach has officially joined us as our new Stylist In Residence.
As the Image Architect behind some of the most talked-about style moments of the last decade, Law has had a huge hand in shaping the fashion landscape – from Zendaya’s headline-making press tours to Ariana Grande’s on-stage outfits. Now, he’s bringing those razor-sharp instincts to ASOS, styling the cover stars of the autumn issue of ASOS Magazine and building iconic looks to inspire your own.
We first worked with Law back in 2024, when we dressed him for the British Fashion Awards. Law stated, ‘To be honest, I think what I wore on that carpet was one of my best looks to date, so we had that sense of connection and familiarity already.’ It feels like a natural next step, then, for Law to join us as our new Stylist In Residence – especially given his belief that people should ‘feel stylish and know that they can have a piece of luxury at a price point that feels accessible.’

THE LORE BEHIND LAW
Law's love for fashion started young. He grew up enamoured with his grandma’s glossy fashion magazines, and she taught him how to make the most of his wardrobe. That knowledge has stayed with him ever since. When he first met Zendaya, he immediately sensed ‘the presence of a movie star and the grace of a princess,’ – it was the beginning of one of fashion’s most-discussed creative partnerships. Since then, his client list has grown to include Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Hunter Schafer and plenty more.

GO WILD
It’s no secret that leopard print is on the autumn menu. But Law’s take on styling it feels far from predictable. Rather than treating this faux-fur leopard-print coat as the only piece worth highlighting, he leans into contrast and texture so that every item shines. Underneath the coat, an embellished minidress brings light, movement and drama, creating tension between opulent outerwear and party-ready dressing. Styling bold with bold often creates the most eye-catching looks.

MAKE IT MAJOR
Allow us to reintroduce you to zebra print – the sleeker sister of stripes. Graphic patterns like this could do with a pop of colour – a principle Law understands perfectly. Here, he breaks up the graphic print with help from chartreuse, a standout shade of the season. As temperatures drop, a bold scarf like this becomes both a practical layer and a useful styling tool, adding colour, texture and fun in equal measure.

THE SHADE TO KNOW: TURQUOISE
Many gravitate towards burgundy, chocolate brown and black come autumn, but Law invites you to widen your seasonal palette. We can’t get enough of this turquoise-blue dress – its fluid fabric delivers impact without relying on prints, embellishments or even accessories. A metallic heel is all you need to complete the look for a wedding, dinner or any other autumn RSVP.

We love when familiar pieces find a whole new context. Case in point: this funnel-neck argyle knit. Traditionally placed firmly in the festive dressing category, Law gave it elevated energy by teaming it with a sheer embellished midi skirt. Sometimes, the best outfit combos are the ones you least expect to work. You never need to choose between looking good and feeling good. Take it from Law himself: ‘I like to be comfortable and I like to be chic and that’s exactly what I see here.’

A LESSON IN POWER DRESSING

Power dressing doesn’t have to mean tailoring. Through silhouettes, Law made Farron Clark look like a stylish CEO. This structured jacket’s voluminous shoulders reference the 80s trend that dominated last year – it’s a layer that feels polished without being overly formal. He balanced the masculine feel with a checked mini short, slip-on heels and, of course, Farron’s signature slick-back.
