WHAT TO WEAR TO A WINTER WEDDING
By Steven Potter, 12 December 2023
'FIT 1: THE PARTY ONE
Yes, yes, we all love a crisp white shirt at a wedding, but why not wear a shirt that says you understood the dress code AND you're here to party? 🕺 Like, the colour of this shirt is champagne – need we say more? Anyway, if Kenzo and Givenchy's AW23 shows are anything to go by (and they are) make sure your trews are relaxed. This pair from Topman should do the job. And for footwear? It absolutely has to be loafers, trust us.
'FIT 2: THE SUIT-Y ONE
Talking of fashion week, other mega labels like Hermès, Givenchy and the ever-polarising VTMNTS brought classic tailoring right back round. If these names mean nothing to you, just bag an el classico double-breasted suit and yes, you absolutely can (and should) wear a T-shirt underneath it. Again, choose loafers, they're rad 👞
'FIT 3: THE EDGY ONE
If you’re not bound by a watertight dress code, a cropped harrington jacket, flares, and a lace vest could be the scene-stealing look you’re after 👀 Will you look so cool that people will talk about you instead of the groom? That sounds like a ‘them’ thing to us. Maybe they should've tapped into the same 70s tailoring moment you did... 🤷♂️

Flares and velour aren’t the only throwbacks we’ve included in this rundown. Corduroy is ~peak~ winter tailoring. It’s super warm and it offers that instant retro edge – that’s a two-in-one, baby! We love the tonal hue above, but there are LOADS of cord pieces on site RN, in all the colours you could wish for.
