Another mainstay of Victoria’s sartorial arsenal is the matching husband-and-wife look. From their infamous purple wedding ensembles (recently recreated in Vogue – iconic), to slightly more understated ‘fits like this white-suit-and-gown combo, it’s no wonder David and Victoria were dubbed the world’s most fashionable duo. This floor-length bustier number is also aptly on-trend now that the ‘underwear-as-outerwear’ phenomenon has returned. So you can nod to Posh’s stylish heritage whilst indulging in current faves, too.

Jumping forward a few years, and the va-va-voom of early 00s style has been toned down a touch. That didn’t stop Victoria from turning major heads at every opportunity, like when she stepped out in this jaw-dropping green Elie Saab gown in 2005. With intricate embellishments, a plunging neckline, and enough drapery to clothe the Von Trapp children, this has everything you’d want from an iconic noughties look. Victoria wears many hats: pop superstar, fashion designer, business owner, doting wife. But the most important of all? Mother. And don’t think for one second that birthing four beautiful children was going to stop the queen of style from serving. There are countless photos of the pop star looking chic and sensual, all whilst carrying a toddler on her hip. This biker jacket is a personal favourite, made all the better by the baby bottle accessory. Never has an outfit better encapsulated the multidimensional life of a fashionable mum.

Never one to shy away from a cinched waist, Victoria Beckham is the undisputed queen of a corset. Particularly when referencing her pre-2010s wardrobe. The Vivienne Westwood wedding dress must be her most famous corseted look, but there’s plenty of strong runners up – including this black satin silhouette. Suitably paired with a dark wash jean and bejewelled choker, this outfit lives rent free in my 90s-obsessed brain. Consider this my petition to bring back wispy bangs – and even better if your boyfriend follows suit.
