STYLING

ARE YOU MATCH-DAY READY? HERE'S HOW TO STYLE YOUR FOOTBALL JERSEYS

Football in the UK hasn’t felt this exhilarating in a while. Arsenal won the Premier League, Man City took home the FA Cup and Crystal Palace and Aston Villa both won in Europe – these wins attract a sense of community and social commentary that few cultural events can replicate. The best part? The unbridled joy, packed streets and collective excitement is set to continue through summer. Fixtures are filling up schedules and your group chat is probably going in circles with the same questions about where to watch – and what you'll be wearing.

We can help with that – and so can Styling Manager, Sophia Stewart. A fresh drop of home and away kits from Nike and adidas have just landed alongside denim, new-season trainers and accessories to team them with. Whether you’re off to North America to watch IRL, you (just about) managed to secure seats at the pub, or you’re resorting to the TV + living-room floor setup, scroll to find out how to style your football shirt.

HOW TO STYLE THE ENGLAND FOOTBALL SHIRT

The Three Lions are on a mission to finally bring it home, so there’s no better way to show your support than repping the official home jersey. A classic white T-shirt gives you plenty of styling leeway – teaming like a dream with jorts, smart trousers or joggers – but nothing beats a pair of baggy blue jeans and trainers. 'Denim effortlessly elevates the football shirt – keeping it wearable but summer-ready,' says Sophia. This mid-blue wash subtly riffs on the shirt's navy details, while silver jewellery ties neatly into the grey P-6000 colourway. A winning look that works for every plan.

HOW TO STYLE THE GERMANY FOOTBALL SHIRT

Germany’s ’26 shirt returns with the iconic diagonal design of past kits. This time, it leans more heavily into the nation’s flag colours – with particular emphasis on black. Tuck it into some black smart trousers and tie everything together with a belt. For shoes, Sophia has a couple of options for you: ‘Pare things back with trainers or swap in a loafer for an element of high-low dressing.’ Here, we went for the infinitely comfy Adistar Control 5.

HOW TO STYLE THE NETHERLANDS' FOOTBALL SHIRT

With major players like Van Dijk and Frimpong, the Dutch national team is a tournament favourite. And if you ask us, their shirt is up there too – Nike turned the volume up with a bold orange colourway. A shirt this good deserves full focus, so everything else should stay intentionally pared back. Black trousers will do the job, but jorts are the more summer-ready, off-duty option. The Nike Shox TL bring futuristic, street-ready energy into the mix, while convex sunglasses push the techy feels a step further. This look would look just as at home at a festival as at a football match.

HOW TO STYLE FOOTBALL TRACK JACKETS

Despite the weather throughout the tournament promising sunshine and blue skies, it’s worth having a contingency plan – namely, a track jacket. 'Choose from windbreaker styles and oversized silhouettes this summer,' says Sophia. 'Team them with streamlined trousers or shorts to balance out the proportions and give the look a point of visual difference.' Think straight-leg joggers, jeans or our personal favourite: cargos. The oatmeal colourway above is a natural pairing with the blue track jacket, and the extra pockets give the look a hint of gorpcore. Of course, keep your trainers on the same page with chunky soles, technical details and metallic finishes.
