SUNDAY BEST: YOUR MONTHLY STYLE ROUNDUP

New to Sunday Best? Each month, we spotlight three ‘fits that stopped us in our scrolls – and deliver you some ‘fitspo in the process. Last month we crushed over cosy accessories, but this month denim is the big deal. To be fair, denim is always a big deal – it’s just as essential as white tees and trainers. But it’s how you style your denim that makes it interesting, and the ‘fits that follow are breathing new life into this wardrobe staple. Oh, and if you like it here, you’ll love our socials – head over to the ASOS IG for weekly moodboard material.

#1: ACCESSORIES MATTER

If you thought the graphic tee + baggy jeans outfit formula was getting old, think again – @miikeee.__ proves you can extend just about any combo’s mileage with the right accessories. Every detail is intentional: the bandana adds a subtle Western nod, the chains inject 90s grunge feels and the loafers pull the look into a polished category. It’s cohesive, not chaotic – and we have both the accessories and the satisfying monochromatic palette to thank for that. Add dimension to your 'fit by sandwiching grey or washed black jeans between your tee and shoes.

#2: DOUBLE THE FUN

We almost can’t believe double denim was once deemed taboo – especially when outfits like @marwan.oa’s exist. It’s probably the simplest way to style your jeans. After all, who doesn’t have a denim jacket or shirt lying around? And while mixing washes makes a bold statement, nothing compares to the ease of a co-ord – make like Marwan with a workwear-inspired set (like this one from ASOS DESIGN) and sharpen it up with help from black boots and sunglasses. Layer a longline wool coat or black faux-leather jacket for some warmth, which, judging by the weather forecast, you’ll need.

#3: CUFF IT

The zeitgeist is constantly reviving 90s trends, but the cuff’s comeback has gone largely unnoticed. This intentional fold at the hem of your jeans adds style points without sacrificing comfort – and if you find yourself with ultra-long jeans, it’s a practical hack worth trying. @jordan_osw has caught onto the cuff’s effectiveness, pairing them with denim chains, a hoodie, chunky boots and a leather jacket for added warmth. You can effortlessly transition this look from day to night by swapping the tee for a going-out shirt.
