PROOF THAT 90s LUXE IS THE TREND TO WEAR RIGHT NOW

When we saw those Giorgio Armani suits come up on our FYPs, we were sold and quickly RAN to our moodboards to build out our winter uniform, which we’re calling: 90s Luxe. Think relaxed suiting, contrast knitwear, and loafers, of course. Jacob Elordi, who’s rumoured to star in the American Psycho remake (a film that highlighted the power suit) has been spotted donning the aesthetic too. And if he approves then we’re 100% convinced. LUXE MEETS STAPLES

For this trend there’s a formula: pair easy staples with luxe pieces for a put-together look with absolutely zero effort. Start with a white tee and loose-fit denim, then elevate with a slick blazer, shiny loafers and a crossbody bag in a pop of red. The style math is mathing.

MODERN TAILORING

We saw smarter looks turn up on the A/W runways of Gucci and Giorgio Armani, and we’re following suit (literally). Keep things relaxed during the day by choosing a loose-fit pair of trousers, tucking in your top and wearing your shirt open. If you’re heading to an event and want to look your best, then a satin two-piece suit never misses.

Name something that completes a ‘fit better than a pair of loafers? We’ll wait. Yep, if there’s one shoe to invest in, it’s this style. Not only is it timeless but we’re yet to find a look that they don’t go with. Slip them on with a casual outfit and watch as they instantly elevate the look. Trainer trends may come and go, but the humble loafer is forever.

MINIMALIST DRESSING

Keeping your base neutral gives you *all* the opportunity to style things up. CONTRASTING KNITWEAR

There’s plenty of reasons to love a jumper, but for 90s Luxe you're going to want to use your knits to bring a colour pop to your neutral base. Keep the rest of the ‘fit simple, and let the knit do its thing – it’s a straight-up seasonal win.
