YOUR 9-PIECE CAPSULE WARDROBE FOR UNI IS HERE
By Emma Strawbridge, 9 September 2024
Whether it’s your first year at uni or you're a veteran at this point, Freshers Week is approaching, and you're going to need some looks for the new semester. But if you’re the kind of person who likes to roll out of bed without thinking about what to wear, we’ve got the answer: a 9-piece capsule wardrobe. The beauty of it? Everything goes together so you can never wear a bad outfit. From midweek nights out to 9am lectures, here are the pieces you need for every move.

THE BASICS
Every wardrobe needs basics. Make sure you have a classic T-shirt, a pair of jeans and another trouser option (we’re loving these cargos) for switching up looks from day to night.
THE KEY PIECES:
Carhartt WIP script T-shirt in green, £40

THE LAYERS
Autumn is upon us, and that means you’re going to need layers. Keep cosy with puffer jackets and hoodies or opt for a gilet over basic tees and jumpers for a utility-inspired look that works on and off campus.
THE KEY PIECES:
Weekday Cole puffer jacket in light grey, £89
ASOS DESIGN heavyweight oversized scuba hoodie in charcoal marl, £34

THE FINISHING TOUCHES
How to differentiate an outfit? Accessories. Our uni essentials include: a baseball cap AKA a wardrobe classic that hides bed hair in an instant; a tote bag for all those books you’re going to be taking from the library and a trusty pair of sneaks, top marks for styles you can wear 24/7.
THE KEY PIECES:
ASOS DESIGN cotton tote bag with contrast stitch in washed brown, £24
