THE RETURN OF THE DRAGON PRINT

Whether you like it or not, there's no escaping the 2000s comeback. Trucker hats, Matrix sunglass, velour tracksuits... fashion has been flooded with the decade's favourite things of late. One trend that really embodies the flamboyant style of the era is the dragon print, and the Chinese-inspired motif appears to have landed on the catwalks, the city pavements and our IG feeds (although, granted, it probs also has something to do with Game Of Thrones mania, too). Here's how to tame the trend this season.

You may recognise the name Koché from the Paris label's collab with football team PSG last year (those were some sick football shirts). This season, creative director Christelle Kocher continues her label’s high-low aesthetic via a mixture of sleek tailoring and globally influenced graphics, including some on-point dragon moments. Proving that a reptilian tee is the perfect addition to a slick suit, a look like this is ideal for a night out – and even better when paired with some low-fi Converse.

ASOS Ruddy's fire look is the ideal festival getup. Wear this dragon-print top with faded baggy jeans, a baseball cap or a bucket hat, adding a pair of chunky trainers for a chilled 90s-meets-00s vibe. Side note: we would never tell you you should get tattoos just to match a trend, but Ruddy’s ink does make a pretty good addition...

Try it on

There are lots of options for dragon print this season: you can go low-key with graphics on the back, opt for an all-over dragon print or make like Ruddy with a flame-print combo. The option above has a slightly more subtle dragon print, while ticking off this season’s tie-dye trend, too. Wear it with skinny jeans, Vans and a beanie hat for a skater vibe. Beast mode, on.
