There’s an excellent chance you’ve spotted a new favourite pair on socials, only to find they're already sold out (I can commiserate). Everyone seems to be waking up to this casual classic, and for good reason.

There’s something about cargo trousers that’s perfect for autumn 2026. Maybe it’s how well they work with the season’s utilitarian mood. Maybe it’s their status as a Y2K icon. Or maybe it’s just how versatile the right pair can be – what other style looks just as good with flip-flops as they do with lo-pro trainers and point-toe kitten heels? The OG cargo style has military origins, so classic pairs usually come in sandy beige or army green and are fitted with multiple pockets – if they don’t have two flap pockets mid-thigh, they might not be cargos.
