HOW TO GET YOUR HANDS ON A ONE-OF-ONE BARBOUR JACKET

If you love fine art, one-of-a-kind pieces and pre-loved fashion, the new ASOS | Barbour Re-loved by Jimmy Turrell collection has your name on it. Well, technically it has many names on it (and much else besides) thanks to the London-based artist’s signature collage and screenprinting techniques. The bespoke range features 10 Barbour Re-loved jackets illustrated by Jimmy, and reimagined by ASOS – each combining the expressive artistry of skilled craftspeople in Barbour’s South Shields factory with ASOS's fashion perspective.

Every piece celebrates Barbour’s iconic silhouettes and staple outerwear through a new lens. These are one-of-one jackets – once sold, they're gone. So this is your only chance to own a piece of art and fashion history.

Alongside Barbour, we've also partnered with Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, allowing you to win a bespoke jacket from the collection. Below, we’ve broken down our favourite jackets from the drop and how we’d style them, along with a deep dive into Jimmy's creative process.

WHO IS JIMMY TURRELL?

Jimmy is a graphic artist based in London, whose work combines handmade collage, screenprinting and painting alongside digital techniques. For the ASOS | Barbour Re-loved by Jimmy Turrell collection, the artist disrupts the classic Barbour jacket with bold colours and striking imagery from the brand’s archive. Heritage wax cotton meets neon pink colour blocks, hand-embroidered florals and tactile crystals. Rather than concealing the original design, Jimmy reimagines each jacket through a modern, rugged lens that’s rooted in British punk and country aesthetics. The result is a series of 10 pieces that exist between tradition and disruption.

SIGNALS JACKET

Barbour is most beloved for its classic longline jackets, of which there are several in this collection. But a standout – if only for its unique silhouette – is the Signals cinched jacket. This bomber-style piece features a sculpted waistband and spread corduroy collar, fusing classic Barbour country codes with urban trends. And if that wasn’t enough, Jimmy has disrupted the old-school brand palette with an abstract printed collage, featuring bright-red panels and blue crosses. This is the ideal piece for transitioning into autumn with a bang. We’d pair with a blank canvas – think stirrup leggings and heels for a simple outfit, or a satin black maxi dress and waterproof clogs for an uber-British look built on perfect contradictions.

MOSAIC GILET

This is the kind of piece we have pinned on our festival moodboard all year. The typical Barbour silhouette is reimagined with a graphic mosaic print and pops of neon. The sleeves have also been reworked to create an oversized gilet silhouette – bringing fresh details to heritage workwear. This combination of relaxed lines and bold collage makes this jacket the ideal partner for a micro short. Finish with knee-high leather boots (or wellies if you’re headed to a British festival) and you’ll have a look that’s sure to earn compliments.

The Mosaic gilet will be available exclusively via our raffle with Centrepoint, the UK's leading youth homelessness charity. To enter, donate £5 via this link for one entry – and you can make as many donations as you like. The raffle runs from 28 August to 4 September, with one winner selected at random.
