OLIVIA COOKE IS FASHION’S FAVOURITE GIRLFRIEND

Actor Olivia Cooke has been busy since winning us all over in House of the Dragon. The British star is not only in new thriller The Girlfriend (out now on Amazon Prime, btw!), but she’s also been keeping us well fed with delicious outfits between roles. With a sharp, masculine sense of style complete with delectable tailoring, Olivia’s looks are punctuated by unique pieces and unlikely accessories – be it a statement necklace or a vintage jacket. This meshing of casual and structured silhouettes is a crash course in timeless dressing, and we can’t get enough. Ahead of her latest series, scroll for all the times Olivia’s inimitable fashion sense turned our heads.

FEATHERS AND CHAINS

This first look is a testament to Olivia’s contrasting style codes. Known for blending romantic silhouettes with edgy accessories, the actor proves fashion’s rules are made for breaking. This feathered gown combines a boxy, understated shape with an exaggerated texture – bringing movement to a simple red-carpet look. Finishing things with a layer of statement chains brings a welcome toughness to the overall outfit, evidence that the most unexpected touches are often the most effective.

With autumn’s imminent arrival comes the inevitable search for the season’s biggest trend, and a contender for this year is lace. From the boho layers at Chloe to romantic chiffon styles at Dior and Chanel, we’re heading into a romantic, cosy season. Olivia certainly got the memo, sporting a plunging lace gown accented by her warm auburn locks. The grey and black colour scheme is a fun nod to the gothic styles favoured during colder months, while the deep V-neck is a great transitional silhouette.

If you hadn’t already heard, faux fur is everywhere. Seriously – from coats to bags, accessories and collars, fluffy fabrics are quickly becoming a wardrobe must-have. Olivia’s fur-lined blazer dress combines her usual penchant for great tailoring with a trend-led twist, and the red tights just add to the autumn of it all. Structured outfits like these call for minimal finished touches – like a simple black court heel and slick hair. And we love the warm brown makeup to pull it all together. No notes.

We told you Olivia was a purveyor of a tailored 'fit, and we weren’t lying. This power suit is epic in its perfectly proportioned shape and cool beige colour-drench. Sticking with the brown tones, Olivia’s point-toe heels are the perfect peek-a-boo moment to counter the billowing cut of the trousers, with a micro handbag to balance the oversized silhouette. As for the tie, we predict this unlikely accessory will continue its stint in the spotlight well into winter.

For all her statement ensembles, Olivia’s real sartorial skill lies in knowing when to fall back on the basics. This little black dress moment is elegance in every sense, with a draped shoulder detail that nods to yet another AW25 trend. We’re also quickly learning that the actor never underestimates the power of a good hairstyle. Her cropped cut adds an architectural edge to this floating, feminine look, with soft waves to ground everything in a romantic, Botticelli-esque lens. Swoon-worthy indeed.
