EVERY MICRO-TREND FROM COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK
By Emma Strawbridge, 5 February 2024
As much as we look forward to fashion week for the shows, we just can’t get enough of the street style. Often the micro trends spotted on the fashion girlies are the viral hits of the year (do we even need to remind you of the adi Samba reign?), so here are our top trends from the capital of Scandi fashion 🤠
HATS GALORE
Barbour bucket hat in white, £42.95
Hats were *everywhere* at CFW: bucket, faux-fur, beret, baseball… you name it, we saw it. This denim cowboy style is perf for the upcoming festi season 🫶, but if it’s a bit too yeehaw for ya, go for a bright beanie or a prairie-girl bucket hat.
RED, RED, RED
Topshop Fae heeled mule with buckle detail in red, £36
It’s nothing new that red is on the fashion radar RN, but as a typically hard-to-style shade, we ❤️ seeing it worn so effortlessly. Greys and whites look 😮💨 with this one, and accessories are a great way to ease yourself into the trend.
BIG BAGS
ASOS DESIGN puffy oversized nylon tote bag in khaki, £26
XL bags have been in our Saved Items since they started cropping up on the SS24 runways last year (Bottega, Loewe and Miu Miu, to name a few), but now we’re seeing them styled up like this we’re gonna *have* to hit add-to-bag 🩶
LEOPARD PRINT
ASOS DESIGN Strut slingback mid heeled shoes in leopard, £28
Leopard print is having a revival, with Kendall Jenner, Dua Lipa, Winnie Harlow and Rosamund Pike (Mother 🧂) being just a few of the celebs to be snapped rocking it lately. We love how this double-denim 'fit has been elevated with the mix-and-match leopard deets.
SHEER COMFORT
Topshop sheer lace 90's length skirt in cream, £34
Sheer’s been trending for a few seasons, but now we're all about the layers. It’s covering up without *actually* covering up 💡 Go all-out with an underwear-as-outerwear vibe for the evening or keep things casj with oversized separates. P.S. We hear buttermilk yellow is gonna be huge for SS24, too… take note 📝
BOOTS TO FILL
ASOS DESIGN Colorado premium leather biker boots in black, £145
Have chunky boots ever actually fallen out of style? Definitely not. We’re loving the jorts styling with these ones, though – the perfect combo for when we (hopefully) transition from winter into spring 🧼
