HEN DO OUTFIT IDEAS FOR DAY AND NIGHT
By Emma Strawbridge, 1 May 2024
Wedding dress (or wedding-guest dress) prep is sorted, RSVPs answered, and the bridesmaids have been chosen. Only the hen do's left! A white hen do dress is a *must* for the bride, but it's not that simple for the guests. You've got to pull a 10/10 look out the bag, whether it's a pyjama party or a big club night. No matter the theme of your upcoming hen do, we’ve got 'fits for everything.
THE BIG NIGHT OUT
An oldie but goodie: the out-out dress. Make sure yours features some beading, embroidery or feathers that are a *little* obnoxious – it's your opportunity to go OTT. For the soon-to-be bride herself, consider wearing a LWD (the LBD, but white) with all-eyes-on-me details. Those sleeves are only going to draw everyone's eyes to that rock.
THE SLUMBER PARTY
Whether you’re making it a PJ party, planning a spa day, or just need something to chill in while you’re getting ready for the big night out, some on-theme pyjamas are a must! Nothing says ~bride~ quite like a white lace-trim look, and for the hen do crew: keep it comfy in a classic satin set.
THE CLASSY VIBE
When a sophisticated dinner party, a cocktail eve or a day at the races is on the schedule, reach for elegant maxi dresses. From bardot necklines in stand-out shades to a cowl-neck satin number for the bride, these picks will have the crew looking bridesmaid-ready. Just think of the group pics!
THE BEACH BRIDE
If your hen do's on the beach, consider us jealous. Perfect for poolside and for slipping on with a cover-up, the bride deserves a standout white 'kini for their daytime activities. Then for the hen, you can't go wrong with gingham. It's the print of the season for a reason – you'll look straight off the Barbie film set.
THE FESTI-HEN
Summer's coming (AKA festival season) and we can’t think of a better way to spend a hen than partying with your fave people and your fave music. Tap into the cowboycore trend with a crochet or light knit dress that guarantees comfort and pairs *just right* with some cowboy boots. Plus, what better time to wear a mesh co-ord than at a festival? This one features a maxi skirt for some sophistication points. Don't forget to pack some layers, too (in case British weather does its thing).
