WHAT TO WEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY
By Flo Bellinger, 15 December 2025
OUR TOP MEN'S CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT IDEAS:
IF YOU STAY IN YOUR PYJAMAS ALL DAY
You might be up at the crack of dawn, bubbling with excitement. You might be lumbering out of bed with Christmas Eve drinks still pounding in your memory. However you start your morning, Christmas Day clothes are all about comfort. And given many of us are quickly whisked into a flurry of blinis, mimosas and familial catchups, it’s good to have a coordinating set of comfies to hand. If nothing else, a fresh pair of pyjamas will conceal a late one the night before. For classic Christmas dressing, opt for striped cotton sleepwear. Or if cosiness is your focus, soft matching sets provide plenty of wiggle room for the carousel of snacks that lie ahead.

IF YOU LIKE TO GET OUTSIDE
If you’re not hosting or cooking at Christmas, a pre-dinner walk is prime time to sneak some fresh air and give your chef some space. It’s likely to be cold (and probably wet), so you’ll want to suit up with weatherproof footwear and a toasty jacket. Wellies are great for countryside excursions, and you can never go wrong with an oversized wool coat. These tailored styles ensure you look well turned out no matter how casual you go with the rest of your outfit.

IF IT'S A COCKTAILS AND CANAPÉS AFFAIR
If you plan on dressing up at Christmas, this is the time to do it. Christmas dinner (quickly followed by more cocktails and nibbles) is prime time to throw on that new shirt or clean-cut trouser – but given all the food and drink involved, balancing the formal with the casual is key. Think relaxed fabrics in structured silhouettes, like these soft tailored trousers. Cardigans and light knits are also a great option for staying cosy yet crisp.

If the only thing on your mind is relaxing this Christmas, we've got it covered. It's evening: the TV is on, music’s playing softly in another room, and your distant relatives have had an argument over the cheese board. You’ve probably had one too many of those nibbly things on the table, and the festive socks are enjoying their first outing. That means you’ll want to be in something comfortable. Elevated loungewear is a go-to for hunkering down and still looking put together – so even as you sink into the sofa, everyone will be admiring your impeccable sense of style.
