STYLE LESSONS FROM HARRY STYLES

If you weren’t plugged into the world of endurance running, you might have wondered who Sted Sarandos was. This mysterious individual took the internet by storm after running the Berlin Marathon back in September 2025, clocking in at an eye-watering 2:59:12. Lo and behold, mysterious Sted was in fact Harry Styles. The singer had entered the race under a secret name and shaved around 25 minutes off his previous personal best in the process. All in a day’s work.

As photos emerged of him posing with fellow runners at the finish line, Harry’s far-from-casual sub-3 hour marathon seemed like water off a duck’s back. It’s this laissez-faire attitude that’s become a signature of both his lifestyle and his wardrobe – so we thought we’d dig into a few of his finest looks and learn a thing or two from them. Plus, with both summer and Harry’s third album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally on the horizon, his understated looks are more relevant now than ever before. Grab your favourite low-pros and tote bag, because we’re about to dish out some serious notes on low-key style.

DENIM IS THE NEW DRESS CODE

With the Grammys being the most prestigious awards in music, black suits, bowties and the odd cummerbund have become predictable styling choices year after year. But if his marathon-mastering alter ego wasn’t indicative enough, Harry is never one to stick to the status quo. Instead, he establishes his own set of rules; exemplified through his Grammys getup of a sculptural blazer, dark-wash Dior denim and green ballet flats. While denim is often struck off the dress code of any RSVP events, Harry's nearly-black pair gave the illusion of smart trousers and slipped under the radar.

Only a few years ago, Harry was known as fashion’s most flamboyant man. No stranger to a feather boa or a bejewelled jumpsuit, the singer certainly earned his stripes as a sartorial risk-taker. So it’s somewhat surprising that his recent looks have been decidedly simpler. This understated approach to dressing has aligned with Harry’s break from music and touring – where he’s filled his days in London with brisk walks and a variety of caffeinated beverages. This off-duty get-up is a highlight from Harry’s casual era – where a pop of cobalt blue lifts the humble chore jacket from the doldrums of daily wear to the pinnacle of street style. We love the upturned cuff on the trouser to expose a white sock and loafer combo. They should pin this whole thing under ‘timeless’ in the dictionary.

YOU NEED A WHITE T-SHIRT IN YOUR WARDROBE

It might not be the most exciting purchase you make for your wardrobe, but boy is it the most rewarding. The perfect white T-shirt will never do you wrong, as demonstrated here by Mr. Styles himself. Not only does it pair with everything in your roster, but it’s a great tool for toning down more elevated pieces like these tailored pinstripe trousers – meaning you can wear your evening looks for casual daily outings, too. We didn’t have the white Vans renaissance on our 2026 bingo card, but Harry makes a great case for them with this simple yet put-together ensemble.

Perhaps the most incognito of the looks on this list, Harry’s loungewear combo gives 'hidden in plain sight' a new meaning. The playful graphic details on this co-ord add some visual interest to your most basic outfit option, while the heavyweight fabric serves as a welcome reminder that the simplest items in your wardrobe ought to be great quality. He might be strolling the streets unseen thanks to the lowered cap and lifted hood, but a good set of loungewear like this is certainly unforgettable.
