Five Zac Efron outfits
By Sam Higgins, 6 May 2016
Zac Efron’s come a long way from his days as all-singing, all-dancing High School Musical heartthrob. With the ex-Disney star once again flexing his grown-up comedy muscles in newly-released Bad Neighbours 2, and set to spend a lot of time with his kit off for Baywatch next year, let’s take a look at five times Zac looked great with clothes on.
Blue and buttoned up
We'll bypass the HSM days and skip straight to 2011 – the floppy locks have been tamed and his sartorial game stepped up. As outfits for a nice Nordic walk go, this is pretty solid. Zefron buttoned up a blue corduroy shirt to match the snapback he flipped backwards and, down below, threw on some skinny jeans and tan desert boots to complete a fittingly Scandi-inspired tonal getup.
Sure, band tees are having a revival right now thanks to style connoisseurs Bieber and Kanye, but it looks like Zac was doing it even before them. What’s more, he even donned a Tupac ‘Only God can judge me’ tee – true, Zac, but we can judge your outfit. Solid backwards cap, decent skinny jeans and converse combo – we’ll give it 8/10.
Now we’re starting to see Zefron’s style rise a few levels and he made sure everyone clocked the change, wandering through New York’s stylish SoHo in his finest winter wear. With the cold months allowing the most scope for sartorial experimentation, Zac managed to lock down a solid layered look by playing with the tones of his casual shirt and straight-legged trousers. That pairing gave him the perfect base to show off a tobacco shacket with fluffy lining and collar, before popping on some classic aviators and strolling off like a fashion boss.
He may be regretting telling his girlfriend-of-the-time Sami Miro he’ll carry the bags, but it’s fine, because Zefron can style out hauling holdalls, making them mere accessories to his strong travel steez. Trusty backwards hat on, shades covering his eyes, he kept things simple and comfy as he strolled through the terminal. The laid-back look saw him pair grey skinny joggers with a black Statue of Liberty tee before throwing a black Puma zip-up hoodie over the top. For the finishing touch, Zac opted for some fresh white converse to brighten up his impressive, monochrome getup.
It must be summer, because Zac’s got a backwards hat and shades on again. This time, however, along with his signature summer wear, Zac displays just how far up the style ranks he’s climbed, throwing on joggers in 2016’s favourite print – camo. He’s even learned to make the most of the military print by keeping things simple around it, with a basic black tee and some black Nike kicks. Welcome to the sartorial big leagues, Zac.
