Wherever you’re travelling for a wedding this year, you’ve got to pass the destination wedding vibe check. Look at it like a science experiment – with variables like sand, heat, a dress code and endless photo ops, you need to cover all your bases. So, whether you’re a guest or a groomsman, behold these nuptial-coded looks ft. wedding suits for abroad destinations, beach wedding suits, three-piece suits, dancefloor-ready shoes and accessories that’ll look 10/10 on a balmy backdrop. Suit up.
LINEN SUITS
Weather forecast: hot. Destinations like Portugal, Bangkok and Marrakech are beautiful but well known for their 40-degree summers – pack a linen suit to keep your temperature down as much as possible. Breathable, effortless and ideal for doing more than just posing, it’s a no-brainer for a wedding abroad. Keep it extra cool with a short-sleeve shirt, statement sunglasses and a suede shoe.
BEACH WEDDING SUITS
Men's wedding attire on the beach may seem daunting, but with the right smart-casual ratio, you’ll have the time of your life. Our tried-and-tested formula: an oversized blazer, baggy suit trousers and a slim-fit tee. Not only do you get to enjoy the ocean breeze, but you can dial the look up or down by switching the tee for a shirt – or loafers for sandals.
BLUE SUITS
That navy wedding suit might have reputation for reliability, but it doesn’t exactly scream beach wedding attire. When it comes to styling, colour-drench your separates for a modern feel and provide a point of difference with a tonal shirt. Or choose a heritage pattern like herringbone or a subtle pinstripe to separate you from the sea of tuxedos.
STATEMENT SUITS
Upstaging the groom is a no-go, but who said you can’t make a statement with your beach wedding suit? Toss out the traditional tux for something more standout, like a dusty pink suit. Or go even bolder – think 70s-inspired tailoring à la Colman Domingo. His use of cropped blazers, exaggerated collars and saturated colours is second to none.

Transfer waffle shirts, polo shirts, chinos and linen sets from your holiday rotation to your wedding wardrobe. Take the occasion seriously with a slick watch and smart shoes rather than sandals.
HOW SHOULD I CHOOSE SUIT COLOURS FOR A DESTINATION WEDDING?
If you’re unfamiliar with how to wear neutrals, you risk blurring into the beachy backdrop. Opting for a rich green or blue will provide more contrast between you and the landscape – perfect for all those post-wedding IG carousels. But don’t sleep on pastel tones either. Step out of your comfort zone with a romantic powder blue or baby pink suit for the big day.
WHAT ACCESSORIES SHOULD I PACK WITH MY SUIT?
Pocket squares and wedding ties are non-negotiable, but you can’t do beach wedding guest attire without sunglasses on hand – don’t be that person squinting to see all through the ceremony. Plus, sunglasses blow a cool breeze over any look – think Ray-Ban Wayfarers or aviators for that 80s edge.

Look out for unexpected colourways, metal hardware and textural touches. For those picturesque Mediterranean weddings, boat shoes are a valid alternative. And in tropical climates, take flip-flops along for the ride.
