What’s happening right now?
On 6 October, some customers received an unauthorised push notification from ASOS.
We’re investigating unauthorised activity involving third-party platforms that we use to communicate with customers. We took immediate action to restrict access and are working with our internal and external specialist advisers, as well as all relevant authorities.
Customers should disregard the unauthorised notification and should not click or engage with the external third-party link it contained.
Our website and app remain available, and customers can continue to shop as normal.
How do I know if I’ve been affected?
You may have been affected if you received the unauthorised ASOS push notification earlier today.
Based on what we know at this stage, basic personal information including name and contact details may have been accessed. We don’t believe that any payment-card information or account passwords have been impacted.
Is it safe to continue shopping?
Our website and app remain available, and customers can continue to shop as normal.

We are not currently asking customers to change their ASOS account password or take any other action. If this changes, we will contact affected customers directly.

Based on what we know at this stage, we don’t believe that payment-card information or account passwords were impacted.
When will this be resolved?
We have restricted access to the notification platforms and are working with our internal and external specialist advisers.

I have received a push notification from ASOS that looks legitimate - how can I know if I can click this safely?
Following the unauthorised push notification on 6 October, we took immediate action to restrict access to the third-party platform used for customer communications. While our investigation continues, please be assured that push notifications are safe and customers can continue to shop with confidence on ASOS as normal.
