EVERYTHING ON OUR RADAR THIS MONTH

Let us start by addressing the elephant in the room: June really flew by. The month saw tons of festivals, record-breaking temperatures and plenty of trendy summer styles. But July 2026 promises much of the same. Want to know the most notable films to watch, music to listen to and events to be seen at? You’re in just the right place.

Tom Holland stars in both of July’s biggest blockbusters.

THE ODYSSEY – 17 JULY
After putting us through all seven stages of grief back in 2023 with Oppenheimer (enter: mandatory Barbie shoutout), Christopher Nolan is heading back to the big screen with The Odyssey. That’s right, Homer’s epic is being brought to life with help of a star-studded cast – including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Tom Holland and more. If you’re unfamiliar with the ancient tale, it follows Odysseus as he journeys home after the Trojan War, while his wife, Penelope, and son, Telemachus, face plenty of trials and tribulations during his absence. We’ll be making The Odyssey our entire personality throughout July.

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY – 29 JULY
[Warning: contains spoilers] We can finally stop wondering what happened to Peter Parker after he erased himself from the world’s memory, because Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases at the end of the month. Of what we know so far, Peter’s still been fighting crime full-time under the Spider-Man persona, but he struggles with loneliness after seeing his friends and family move on without him. If that sounds a little depressing for a superhero film, don’t worry. You can still expect the same exciting stunts, fights and action that the Spider-Man franchise is famous for.

Petal is Ariana’s upcoming album.

MADONNA, CONFESSIONS II – 3 JULY
Mother is back in her element, with CONFESSIONS II being another dance-pop addition to Madonna’s expansive discography. If you weren’t aware, the album is a sequel to 2005’s Confessions On A Dance Floor, AKA the project that gave us one of the 2000s greatest hits: Hung Up. We’ve already heard house, electronic, EDM and collabs with Sabrina Carpenter and Arca on CONFESSIONS II, proving it’ll be a party staple.

TYLA, A*POP – 24 JULY
Tyla’s sophomore album drops right in the middle of summer – perfect timing for a project that’s all about having a good time. The South African songbird has already released a slew of impressive earworms – CHANEL, SHE DID IT AGAIN (ft. fellow pop princess Zara Larsson) and IS IT – and we can’t wait to see how they all come together. Expect genre-traversing sounds across Amapiano, Afrobeats, Pop, Hip-Hop, House, R&B and even more in A*POP.

ARIANA GRANDE, PETAL – 31 JULY
It hasn’t been long since Ariana Grande released an album – 2024’s Eternal Sunshine, to be exact – but she’s never been one to starve her fans. On IG, Ariana described petal as ‘a little feral’ and ‘full of life’, implying she’ll be in a happier place than she was during the ES era. It’s all about letting go of negativity, and fans are already drawing comparisons between Petal and Sweetener. Oh, and did we mention that the Eternal Sunshine Tour is underway? With a little luck, we’ll see some Petal performances during its London leg in September.

A year after his viral O2 shows, Pitbull is back in London for BST Hyde Park.

BST HYDE PARK – UNTIL 12 JULY
The iconic London festival already kicked off in June – with country singer Garth Brooks and K-pop band ATEEZ turning up the crowds – but July has even more fun in store. Belt out Maroon 5’s greatest hits during their performance on 3 July, and prepare to go wild during Pitbull and Kesha’s high tempo sets on the 10 July. If you haven’t already got tickets yet, hurry!

CATS, REGENT’S PARK OPEN AIR THEATRE – 25 JULY – 19 SEPTEMBER
If you asked us to name the kitschiest, most eccentric musical there is, we’d have to say CATS. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s modern classic has captivated audiences for four decades, bearing heavy hitters like Memory. And now, it’s returning to the London stage in a bold new production from director Drew McOnie. The limited run spans only seven weeks this year, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry – you can catch it during its 2027 leg, too.
