5 EASY HALLOWEEN OUTFITS
By Flo Bellinger, 15 September 2025
#1: CHARLI XCX

Summer might be over for another year, but the Brat lives on in all of us. Charli XCX truly reset the culture with her groundbreaking 2024 album – and if you needed any more proof of her lasting reign on the zeitgeist, consider the fact we’re still referencing Brat over 12 months later. Central to this neon-green universe was Charli’s infamous on-stage uniform, consisting of a simple white tank, leather micro shorts, and oversized black sunglasses. They might be understated pieces, but combining them makes for an instantly recognisable look that’ll have your last-minute Halloween costume sorted in seconds.

#2: SABRINA CARPENTER

Another pop girlie who’s cemented herself in the 2025 hall of fame? Sabrina Carpenter, of course. From viral hit Espresso to her famous bouncy blow-dry and pint-sized, always on-point wardrobe, the singer has quickly become one of the most famous faces on planet earth. This makes her great source material for a spooky season costume – and the best part is that her look is surprisingly simple to emulate. All you need are some platform heels, a corset top, and some frills. If you’re not blessed with Miss Carpenter’s immaculate hair (and let’s face it, who is), a good curling tong and some hairspray are your best friend.

#3: BLACK CAT

Look, we promised easy Halloween outfits, and easy Halloween outfits we’ll provide. And if you were looking for Halloween dress ideas, we've got just the thing. The humble cat has been a last-minute favourite since time immemorial – and considering it consists of a black dress and some ears, we can see why. For those of us with a penchant for minimal pieces, the thought of shopping for a one-off costume might induce a shudder. But the cat is a failsafe option given it relies on an understated wardrobe. These cute lace ears are all you need to turn your everyday uniform into a spooktacular masterpiece.

#4: MIA WALLACE

Pulp Fiction is one of those movies that everyone’s heard of – even if they haven’t watched it. So impactful are its aesthetic cues that characters like Uma Thurman’s Mia Wallace are still fancy-dress staples all these years later. Just throw on a white shirt and some black capri pants for your own nod to cinema’s chicest leading lady. It’s just a bonus that the bottom half of this outfit has been trending all year.

Another 90s throwback that will never do you wrong is Britney – specifically of the Hit Me Baby One More Time era. In terms of simple Halloween outfits, this leans into the autumn/winter preppy trend, with a plaid mini skirt holding the whole thing together. Just add a crop top, grey cardigan and some knee-high socks for your chance to live as a pop princess for the evening (fluffy pen optional).
