KEEP IT SIMPLE WITH PLAIN TEES
Plain T-shirts are perennially slept on, but they don’t have to be. There’s nothing quite as quietly powerful in menswear as a simple white tee – just think of James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause or Marlon Brando in... literally everything before The Godfather. If you can’t resist adding a little detail, go for a henley with tonal buttons or a raglan tee with contrast sleeves. Textured fabric can add subtle depth to your plain tee too – think waffle-knit or ribbed fabrics.

CLASSIC STRIPED TEES
There’s a striped T-shirt for everyone – you could quite literally say they come in all stripes. The easiest way to wear yours is to keep your tee to two colours, like ASOS DESIGN's green and white number, but experimenting can pay dividends too. GORPCORE T-SHIRTS
If you favour tees with function at the forefront, the great outdoors is calling to you, or you’re just a gorpcore aficionado, we think you’re going to like these. OVERSIZED TEES
Oversized is the fit of the season, but it’s so much more than buying a few sizes up and hoping for the best. It should be loose, but you shouldn’t be swimming in it, so look for sleeves that cut off above the elbow and shoulder seams that only extend out by a few inches. This keeps your outfit in proportion and hitting all the right marks. Oversized tees drape really well – if you want to emphasise the effect, buy yours in heavyweight fabric. 4505’s version is built for the gym but it wouldn’t look out of place at a beer garden.
