EVERYTHING ON OUR RADAR THIS MONTH

Apart from Halloween, do you know how much is going on this October? Some of the biggest names in music are stepping into new eras (including a certain Taylor Swift), reality TV is booming like we’re in the mid-2000s and fiction lovers get to celebrate some hugely influential films and literature. Yep, there's a lot of fun to get stuck into, and while it might feel a lot, we're here to help! Make room in your calendar – scroll to find out what’s on this month.

We can't wait to see the Love is Blind grand reveal on our screens for season 9.

LOVE IS BLIND SEASON 9: 1 OCTOBER
It’s practically impossible to have not watched at least one season of Love is Blind. It’s chaotic, it’s romantic and it’s admittedly stress-inducing at times, but nothing compares to that new-season giddiness. 32 singles will enter the pods in Denver, Colorado, ready to test their emotional connections. We’ve got a luxury watch dealer, an MUA and a realtor amidst the cast this time – we’re very excited to see what unfolds.

SELLING SUNSET SEASON 9: 29 OCTOBER
We’ve all daydreamed about living it large in a city where the sun’s always shining, and the realtors of the Oppenheim Group know how to navigate these spots inside and out. What they don’t know how to navigate, however, is their personal lives. ‘Don’t mix business with pleasure’ means absolutely nothing to this backstabbing, feuding group of ambitious colleagues, and we get to watch all the drama at the end of the month.

Demi's recent 'fits have been *chef's kiss*.
TAYLOR SWIFT, THE LIFE OF A SHOWGIRL: 3 OCTOBER
It’s projected to be the biggest album of the year, but that’s nothing new for the CEO of fame herself. Every Taylor Swift album is as conceptually dense as they are lyrically – and we can bet The Life of a Showgirl will be no different. The roaring 20s-inspired visuals and flapper girl costuming implies T will explore her experiences with glitz, glamour and celebrity – a stark shift from the bleak Tortured Poets Department era. We’ve already got confirmation of a Sabrina Carpenter feature, so we’re sure the album will give us tons of playlist-worthy tunes.

DEMI LOVATO, IT’S NOT THAT DEEP: 24 OCTOBER
Demi’s been busy lately. Busy serving gilded glamour on the Emmy’s red carpet, being an executive producer on Camp Rock 3 (fingers crossed for a Mitchie Torres return), and channelling the party-girl aesthetic with It’s Not That Deep. On her IG, Demi describes the album as a ‘reflection of where I am now’ and judging by singles Fast and Here All Night, she’s ready to live it up. Club-pop is here to stay, and we’re loving it.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: 1-31 OCTOBER
BHM in the UK always falls in the month of October, and ASOS are showing our solidarity by partnering with black-owned and black-focused publication GUAP. We’re sponsoring the annual GUAP Gala, celebrating the incredible creative talent through a night of awards, good vibes and incredible ‘fits. While the GUAP Gala takes place in November, the general theme for BHM 2025 is ‘Standing Firm in Power and Pride’ – find out how you can get involved and empower black communities on blackhistorymonth.org.uk.

BFI FILM FESTIVAL: 8-19 OCTOBER
If your idea of a good time is immersing yourself in films and crafting in-depth reviews on Letterboxd, this one’s for you. Cinephiles across the UK not only get to see screenings of exciting new works, but they also get to enjoy public premieres, high-tech VR experiences, and in-depth interviews with the industry’s most impressive. Just want to see Colin Farrell or Ralph Fiennes IRL? We won’t judge.

LONDON LITERATURE FESTIVAL: 21 OCTOBER - 2 NOVEMBER
The London Literature Festival unites word lovers across the globe – and this year there are so many things to take part in. Sit down for an evening with Reese Witherspoon and Harlan Coben, or watch the shortlisted Goldsmiths Prize authors discuss their incredible new novels. Prefer poetry? Poetic Unity – a black-led Brixton-based charity – is hosting a free spoken word performance starring some of the most exciting acts in the game. There’s something for everyone.
