HOW TO STYLE BAGGY JEANS
By Steven Potter, March 25, 2021
Although skinny jeans have been the MVPs since forever, there’s a new fit takin’ over Insta feeds (and wardrobes) everywhere. The go-to shape for hip-hop and grunge fans in the 90s and the uniform for generations of skateboarders – the baggy jean is BACK. Check out some of our fave looks that are raking in the likes, below.

A straight cut is ideal for those wishing to step tentatively into looser fits. Not too baggy and definitely not ‘skinny’, it’s the ideal starting point. @itsdannywilliams is serving certified spring realness by adding a tonal overshirt and hoodie – ideal for troublesome temps.

@kwofie has nailed the ultimate styling hack when it comes to flexing a baggier cut for the first time. If you don’t want your entire outfit to look oversized, opt for a cropped overshirt – it’ll give your look a 50% tailored/50% chill ASF vibe.

If ultra-baggy is your bag, you’re in luck. The loosest of the loose, these jeans offer a super laid-back look. Layering goes to greater (wider?) lengths when you style them up like @ddesms has here. You may also look like you stepped off the set of a 90s music video – and we’re 100% down for that.

We love the immediate clout a new pair of jeans gives your everyday vibe. A baggy dad fit is a super-easy way to give your fave graphic sweat (and matching kicks) instant vintage vibes. We’ll be copy and pasting this look immediately. Cheers @kanaan 👏
