Looped Look #005: Three stripes, four wheels

The top drop to land at Looped this week is the latest capsule collection from adidas’ skateboarding offshoot. So, we've pieced together our favourite bits for this sun-soaked, LA-inspired outfit.

In terms of European athletic attire, adidas' legacy is untouchable. So taking that heritage into the Californian skate scene makes for an interesting transatlantic culture clash. Following the formula established by earlier collabs with heavy hitters, Palace, the range gives a streetwear edge to sporting silhouettes through graphic prints and skate-ready tweaks. Our favourite item? This monochrome baseball shirt (dropping soon) – just layer it up with a long-sleeved tee, and throw in some extra patterning with camo cargo shorts for a strong start to your stateside skate look.

The Matchcourt takes its cues from simple canvas tennis kicks, but adds a little bulk up front – all that shredding requires extra armour for your toes y’know. This black and white edition offers all the smart simplicity that The Brand with the Three Stripes is known for, but with enough contrast to make your look pop right from the floor upwards. Finally, hitch those socks up high for true West Coast steez. Rad stuff.
