ASOS STUDENT EXTRAVAGANZA – FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

What You Need To Know:

We love running sweepstakes for you guys and we want to be as clear as possible on how you enter and the prize is drawn. Please read the nuts and bolts below and if you’ve still got any questions just contact win@asos.com.

  1. We know that there are ASOS lovers all around the world, but this sweepstakes is only open to residents of the United States of America or the District of Columbia, who are aged 16 or over and studying in a tertiary institution. So that we are completely fair, anyone professionally connected to ASOS is not allowed to enter.
  2. You will need proof of student status (a tertiary institution email address), and access to the internet.
  3. Sweepstakes Period: You can enter this sweepstakes between 00.01 (PST) on February 18th 2019 and 23.59 (PST) on March 31st 2019 - so keep your eye on that watch!
  4. To Enter: Entering this sweepstakes is simple just:
    1. Visit https://us.asos.com/discover/students/asos-on-campus/student-validation/ and fill in the student validation form as prompted (entering your email addresses, first name, and last name) during the Sweepstakes Period to validate as an ASOS Student. ASOS Students that complete the validation form will receive an email to their student email address.
    2. Click the the link in the email to complete validation, and be entered into the sweepstakes.
  5. This sweepstakes is only open to new ASOS Students.
  6. After you have validated as an ASOS Student you will receive a 10% discount code to use until you graduate. The discount code can be used on orders up a maximum total spend limit of the USD equivalent of £500 (at time of ordering) after discount, per calendar month. Only one discount code may be used at a time. The discount code is valid on full priced items only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. The discount code cannot be used on delivery charges; to purchase ASOS gift vouchers, ASOS Premier subscriptions or on ASOS Marketplace. Some brand exclusions may apply. ASOS reserve the right to terminate the discount code without notice. The value of the student discount may be increased periodically throughout the academic year, so keep an eye out! Your code is unique, so don’t share it.
  7. The Prizes: 1 winner will win $5,000 USD worth of ASOS gift vouchers, given as 20 x $250 USD vouchers.
  8. Further information on using ASOS Gift Vouchers:
    1. The gift vouchers will be issued in US Dollars to be used on us.asos.com.
    2. The gift voucher must be redeemed when placing an order in US Dollars.
    3. The winner will receive individual gift voucher codes via email to register it to their ASOS account as credit. An ASOS account will need to be set up to use the gift voucher (if the winner hasn’t done this already).
    4. Unless otherwise limited or prohibited by law, gift vouchers purchased in USD will not have an expiry date.
    5. Gift vouchers can be used as part or full payment against eligible items on the ASOS websites (this does not include ASOS Marketplace or the purchase of other ASOS gift vouchers).
    6. Unless otherwise required by law, no cash refunds will be given but any balance remaining on the gift voucher is locked to the winner’s account and can be used against future purchases.

  9. Winner Selection: So that you know we’ve selected our winner fairly from all the valid entries we receive, the random draw will be carried out by an independent verification service and will take place within 10 working days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
  10. Contacting the winner: If you are our lucky winner, we’ll contact you within 10 working days of the random draw. You must respond to us within 14 days confirming acceptance of your prize. If you don’t respond within the time given, we will award the prize to a reserve winner. A total of 3 reserves will be contacted. Reserves may have less time to respond. In the event that no winner or reserves respond, wereserve the right not to award the prize.
  11. Prize Acceptance: If you are our lucky winner, we will send you your Prize as soon as we can – and it will be delivered to you within 28 days of the date you accept the Prize when contacted by ASOS, in accordance with the contact details you have provided to us (Prize Acceptance). In the unlikely event that your Prize doesn’t arrive within 28 days of your Prize Acceptance, you’ll have a further 28 days to inform us by emailing the team at: win@asos.com. If you don’t let us know within this timeframe, we will reserve the right to not reissue the prize or limit its value at our sole discretion.
  12. Sorry, but you can’t transfer a Prize to someone else or exchange it for a cash alternative. Make sure to keep your prize safe and don’t let anyone copy your Gift Voucher codes, or you won’t be able to apply them to your ASOS account!
  13. If, for reasons we can’t control, the prize is no longer available, we’ll offer you an alternative prize which we hope you’ll still love but which will definitely be of equal or greater value.
  14. The winner must complete, sign, and return an IRS Form W-9 and provide their social security number that will only be used for the purpose of reporting the winner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law.

                     
    The Legals and Other Bits

    No one likes the small print, but we need to let you know about some other important stuff too and make you feel comfortable that we run our sweepstakes properly, fairly (and legally!):

  15. Data Privacy:We care a lot about the security of your personal data and it will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy here: https://us.asos.com/privacy-policy/and will only be used for the purposes of this sweepstakes. We will only share your data with our Fulfilment Partners for to fulfil this sweepstakes.
  16. We believe in fair play. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted and we will not accept cheating in any form including the use of macros or other automated means of entry, masking your identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than your own and any other behaviour that falls outside the spirit of the sweepstakes. If you’re found to be cheating, you will be excluded.
  17. Unfortunately, if you suffer any loss or damage that arises out of or in connection with the prize draw or prize itself (whether in contract, tort (including (without limitation) negligence), statutory duty or otherwise) ASOS won’t be liable for this.
  18. If this sweepstakes can’t run properly because of fraud, tampering, technical errors or anything else that is beyond our control which affects the running, administration, security or fairness of this sweepstakes, we reserve the right to disqualify any person involved. We will also have the right to cancel, modify or suspend the sweepstakes.
  19. If someone or something tampers with this sweepstakes in some way whether by fraud, technical failures, system errors or other issues, including any such failure which is within the control of ASOS or its agencies, ASOS and its agencies will not be responsible for the Sweepstakes, prize or for the non-inclusion of entries. Proof of submission of entry is not proof of receipt of entry.
  20. In the event of any dispute our decision is final.
  21. By entering you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
  22. If you want to know who won, you can email win@asos.com within two months of the end of the Sweepstakes Period quoting “ASOS Student Extravaganza WL US” in the subject title.
  23. These terms and conditions are governed by New York law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New York.

STUDENT VALIDATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 1. The unique student discount code (“Discount”) applied for via this form is available to students currently enrolled on a college or university course in the UK, US, Germany, France, Australia, Italy, Spain, Austria, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and Republic of Ireland. 
2. The Discount is valid for the duration of the college or university course for which the student has registered as part of the validation process. 
3. In order to receive the Discount, you must register with ASOS and complete the validation process. 
4. Once the validation process is complete, your Discount will be sent to you via email.
5. Redeem your Discount by entering the code in the Promo Code box during checkout. 
6. Discount is valid on full priced items only.
7. Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. 
8. Discount cannot be used on delivery charges, gift vouchers, ASOS Premier and ASOS Marketplace. 
9. ASOS reserve the right to terminate the Discount without notice. 
10. Discount is non-transferable and is valid only for the student who was sent the unique code. Should a unique student code be used by anyone other than the intended user, the Discount will be withdrawn without notice. 
11. Discount can be used on orders up to a maximum total spend limit of £500 (or the equivalent in your local currency), after discount, per calendar month. 
12. Some brand exclusions may apply. 
13. We may offer further discounts to valid students from time to time so watch out for these!
