EVERYONE IS WEARING
The coolest ways to wear an XL stripe shirt
By Anna Heaton, May 4, 2017
ICYMI, striped shirts are everywhere and on everyone right now. Innately smart, yet when worn oversized (and, this season, that's the only way to roll), they become all kinds of casj. Blue and white stripes have been the firm favorites up till now, but the stylishly clued-up are intro-ing red, cerise and other gorge colorways to their wardrobes. Here's Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin and co. repping the stripe.
The shrug
Cold-shoulder gear? You're down. But if you think fashion is going to stand still on that trend you're v much mistaken. The newest way to wear it is via a shirt, as Hailey Baldwin proves. Make a smart piece super-casual by shrugging it off one shoulder, then style with denim cut-offs and crisp white kicks to make it oh-so LA.
Double up
"Boxy" and "oversized" are your new key words when it comes to shirting, so go for a vintage menswear vibe like Kendall. Look out for cute candy-stripe versions with double the lines (the more stripes the merrier). Kenny went all out on the relaxed front and wore hers half-tucked into a pair of v distressed (read: barely there bar a seam down the side) jeans, mini handbag and classic aviators.
Clash of the titans
Mega-babe Pernille Teisbaek never fails, so maternity wear wasn't going to phase this pro. At a couple months pregnant, she was nailing the shirting trend — opting for a print clash (a top tip for early-on bumps that you may be trying to distract from) with an oversized check and thin stripes. Perfect for a working day or off-the-clock, thanks to those blingy heels and white-framed glasses.
