Founded in 1911 by a pair of brothers, the Italian brand originally started manufacturing clothes to keep the people of the Alps nice and toasty. Over the decades, the label has since expanded to provide staple sportswear gear and slick footwear for everyone from tennis legend Björn Borg to hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur. Essentially, your school uniform wasn’t complete without a Fila track jacket or oversized sweater.

British brand Reebok may now be part of the adidas empire, but it began life in 1958 in Bolton, Lancashire. Since then it has produced enduringly stylish sneakers like its Classic and Workout sneakers. It’s kept its clean, white, tennis-style aesthetic up to date via collabs with Kendrick Lamar, Palace and Vetements. This classic logo-print hoodie and Club C 85s are contemporary takes on some retro favorites.

Tommy Hilfiger

Eponymously named after its founder, the all-American brand has been popular amongst streetwear aficionados since the '90s. Just like Fila, the preppy sportswear label is much loved by hip-hop heavyweights — the likes of Snoop Dogg and Nas can be counted as long-term fans. In order to channel decades past, cop an iconic Tommy Hilfiger sweater featuring the brand’s traditional colors of red, white and blue.

Skater style has been enjoying a renaissance this year, and, arguably, no other brand contributes to the scene as much as Vans. Although the company has a range of backpacks, hoodies and laid-back tees to choose from, it’s the shoes that the label’s really known for. Take Vans’ black Old Skools — they’re as in demand now as they were back in the day.
