FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

What You Need To Know:

We love running promotions for you guys and we want to be as clear as possible on how you enter and the prize is drawn. Please read the nuts and bolts below for the full details. If you’ve got any questions, just contact win@asos.com.

1. We know that there are ASOS lovers all around the world, but this promotion is only open to verified university students who are residents of the UK aged 18 or over. So that we are completely fair, anyone employed by us, including freelancers and contractors, their families (parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners) and professionally connected to this promotion is not allowed to enter.

2. You do not need to make a purchase to take part in this promotion. You’ll need access to the internet, have a valid ASOS account and proof of student status in order to enter.

3. Promotion Period: You can enter between 00.01 BST on the 9 August 2022 and 23.59 BST on the 12 September 2022. So, keep your eye on that watch!

4. To Enter: Visit www.asos.com/discover/students/asos-on-campus/student-validation/ and complete the student validation form, providing your full name, confirmation of the country you are studying in, year of graduation and university email address, to validate your ASOS Student account. All ASOS Student accounts created and successfully validated during the Promotion Period will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.

5. We’re sorry, but this particular promotion is only open to new ASOS Students.

6. You can only enter once during the Promotion Period. Sorry but you can only win 1 x Prize per person across the entire Promotion Period.

7. Prize: There will be a total of 6 winners.

a. Main Prize: 1 x Ski holiday for the Winner and 3 friends.

b. Runner-Up Prizes: 5 x £100 ASOS Gift Voucher.

8. Further Prize Details and Conditions:

a) Main Prize:

a. The ski holiday is in Tignes, France and is from 10 December 2022 – 17 December 2022.

b. The Prize includes a £150 contribution per person for flights and luggage from any major UK airport to Geneva.

c. Transfers from Geneva to Tignes and Tignes to Geneva are included.

d. Transfers from the Winners home to the airport and the return are not included.

e. The Prize includes

i. a ski apartment for 4 people. The apartment is self-catering.

ii. 4 x 6-day lift passes, ski or snowboard hire and ski or snowboard lessons if required.

iii. 4 x snow party passes, including your own snow and party host.

iv. a winter mountain bouquet.

v. Party to Piste clothes and goody bag.

f. The winner is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guests whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or their guests from participation in any aspect of the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or if the winner and/or their guests act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the event/venue.

g. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize does not include travel/transportation, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.

h. The winner and their guests will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or travel insurance are the responsibility of the winner and their guests. In the event the winner or their guests are unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other prize will be provided.

i. It will be the winner’s and (if applicable) their guest's responsibility to take out at their own cost all relevant insurance (including but not limited to health and travel insurance, insurance for theft, loss and damage to property) which may be required or prudent to be taken.

j. The winner and their guests must travel together on the same itinerary.

k. All elements of the prize must be taken as part of the same trip.

l. The Prize will be forfeited if:

i. the Winner has not obtained all of the proper travel documents by the date specified by the Promoter;

ii. the Winner has any immigration complications which prevent them from entering, leaving or travelling within France; or

iii. the Winner has any medical, legal or any other reason that would prevent you from accepting and participating in the Prize.

iv. If winner is not available to travel on dates specified by Sponsor currently planned for 10/12/22 – 17/12/22.

m. The Prize includes return economy travel, by the most convenient mode of transport

n. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the apartment during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.

o. Winners will be asked to pay a refundable security deposit of up to €100 per person to the accommodation providers on site.

p. You will be asked to pay a security deposit direct to the accommodation supplier on arrival at your accommodation. The security deposit will be used as payment towards the cost of any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. q. Certain parts of the prize may require particular levels of health or fitness. Entrants should ensure that they are capable of meeting the required standards.

r. Once tickets have been issued, they are only valid for flights, dates and times shown. No alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight once confirmed are not permitted.

s. The winner and their guests must abide by and are subject to the Airline’s published Conditions of Carriage.

t. Once the Prize is accepted the Winner and their guests will be bound by NUCO travel terms and conditions and behavioural code

b) Runner-Up Prizes:

a. The winner will receive an individual gift voucher code via email to register it to their ASOS account as credit. An ASOS account will need to be set up to use the gift voucher (if the winner hasn’t done this already).

b. Unless otherwise limited or prohibited by law, the gift voucher will have its own expiry date of 24 months from the date of issue. The expiry date will be made clear when the voucher is sent to the winner.

c. Gift vouchers can be used as part or full payment against eligible items on the ASOS websites (this does not include ASOS Marketplace or the purchase of other ASOS gift vouchers).

d. Gift vouchers can be used against shipping costs.

e. Unless otherwise required by law, no cash refunds will be given but any balance remaining on the gift voucher is locked to the winner’s account and can be used against future purchases.

9. Winner Selection: So that you know we’ve selected our 6 provisional Winners fairly from all the valid entries we receive, the random draw will be carried out by an independent promotional verification service to select 6 provisional Winners. The draw will take place within 5 working days of the end of the Promotion Period.

10. Contacting the Winners: If you are one of our lucky provisional Winners, you will be contacted via the email address associated with the ASOS account you used to enter the Prize Draw within five working days of Winner Selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Winners. If a Winner does not respond to the initial contact within 14 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve Winners may have less time to respond.

11. Prize Acceptance: If you are one of our lucky provisional Winners, and once we confirm you as a Winner, we will contact you to arrange your prize as soon as we can and they will be delivered to you within 28 days of the date you accept the Prizes when contacted by ASOS, in accordance with the details provided by you. In the unlikely event that your Prize doesn’t arrive, or you haven’t received notification to arrange your Prize within 28 days of your Prize Acceptance, you’ll have a further 28 days to inform us by emailing the team at win@asos.com. If you don’t let us know within this time frame, we will reserve the right to not reissue the prize or to limit its value at our sole discretion.

12. Sorry, but you can’t transfer the Prize to someone else or exchange it for an alternative.

13. If, for reasons we can’t control, the Prize is no longer available, we’ll offer you an alternative Prize which we hope you’ll still love but which will definitely be of equal or greater value.

14. Provided no objection from the Winners is received, we’ll make a winners list available 4 weeks after the close of the Promotion Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be at available by sending a request via email to win@asos.com. Winners can object to their surname or county of residence being published or request for the amount of information being published to be reduced during the Winner Notification process. However, without prejudice, we will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority on reasonable request.

The Legal and Other Bits

No one likes the small print, but we need to let you know about some other important stuff too and make you feel comfortable that we run our promotions properly, fairly (and legally!):

16. Data Privacy: We care a lot about the security of your personal data, and it will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy here: https://www.asos.com/privacy-policy/ and will only be used for the purposes of this Prize Draw, except where you have opted in to receive communications from ASOS. We will only share your data with our Fulfilment Partners for the to fulfil this Prize Draw.

17. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.

18. We can’t take any responsibility for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. We can’t guarantee continuous or secure access to Asos.com.

19. We believe in fair play. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted, and we will not accept cheating in any form including the use of macros or other automated means of entry, masking your identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than your own and any other behaviour that falls outside the spirit of the promotion. If you’re found to be cheating, you will be excluded.

20. Unfortunately, if you suffer any loss or damage that arises out of or in connection with the Prize draw or the Prize itself (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, ASOS won’t be liable for this. Nothing will exclude our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence.

21. We will not be liable for any failure to comply with our obligations or any delay in performing our obligations within these terms and conditions If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs caused by (but not limited to) global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

22. If this promotion can’t run properly because of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond our reasonable control which affects the running, administration, security or fairness of this promotion, we reserve the right to disqualify any person involved. We will also have the right to cancel, modify or suspend the promotion.

23. If any provisions of these Terms & Conditions are judged to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, this will not affect or impact the continuation in full force and effect the remainder of the provisions.

24. We may refuse to award a Prize in the event of any entrant’s fraud, dishonesty, breach or non-entitlement under these Terms & Conditions or seek recovery of its value if the Prize has been awarded.

25. In the event of a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and the details in any promotional material, the details in the Terms & Conditions will prevail.

26. By entering you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

27. If someone or something tampers with this promotion in some way whether by fraud, technical failures, system errors or other issues, including any such failure which is within the control of ASOS or our agencies, ASOS and our agencies will not be responsible if the promotion or the Prize event not being capable of running as planned or for the non-inclusion of entries. Proof of submission of entry is not proof of receipt of entry.

28. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

2. Unauthorised copying of this document in whole or in part will constitute an infringement of copyright.

3. Changes made to these Terms & Conditions will not be legally valid unless agreed in writing by PromoVeritas. It is the responsibility of the Client to inform PromoVeritas of any such changes, as this may affect the legality, operation and delivery of the Promotion.
