Fresher than your average: adidas Originals Climacool

Back in the early 2000s, adidas Originals set out to create one seriously cool sneaker — and it did it in more ways than one. Now in summer '17, it’s breathing new life into the Climacool.
While the Brand with the Three Stripes' intention may have been to create the ultimate breathable running shoe, the Climacool inadvertently became a cult classic that gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "fresh kicks." The goal was to give runners ventilation from all angles (even the soles have holes), but its head-turning looks made this one a winner at walking pace too.
Now, 15 years after its debut, the Climacool is just about reaching that age where it qualifies as a legit throwback and, right on cue, adidas have come through with some new takes on these breezy beauties. As if it were possible to make a shoe with its own micro-climate more summer-ready, they now come in pastel.
