ASOS: Heeeeeey Georgie! We LOVED watching you style our ASOS DESIGN trends over on insta. For anyone who doesn’t know, can you tell us a little about what you do?
GEORGIE: I’m a fashion stylist, so my day-to-day can be really varied. Anything from styling influencers, sourcing clothes and putting looks together in my studio, to shoots abroad and personal styling! Then there's the admin bits, like connecting with brands and brand relationship building for future shoots.
ASOS: That sounds so fun! So tell us how you got into styling? Asking for a friend👀
GEORGIE: I actually started a fashion course at university, but I was advised to drop out and get hands on experience instead [ASOS note: don't try this at home, kids]. I started assisting stylists on shoots and that’s how I met Cheryl Konteh, who's been a huge influence – her work ethic, effortless style & endless list of clients is truly an inspiration! Then I was put forward to be Hilary Alexander’s assistant, another amazing mentor. After that I had an internship with Vogue which was a dream come true 🤩 and I made the leap to go out on my own and become a freelancer!

ASOS: What a CV 🤭 You’ve done some incredible stuff, any career highlights?
GEORGIE: There have been a few… Assisting Cheryl for Kate Winslet’s cover of Gotham Magazine, for one. Or when I worked with her on the red carpet for the Fantastic Beasts Premiers. It was so much fun, especially with the cast. And meeting Stanley Tucci on a shoot - he was my fave character in The Devil Wears Prada... ‘Gird your loins’!
ASOS: Not Stanley! Amazing. What are you working on at the moment then?
GEORGIE: I’ve recently got my first studio which was a big moment for me and something I have always dreamt of! I’m hoping to continue to work with independent brands, to shoot in the studio, and I’m prepping for some exciting campaigns, with loads of cases to pack for a shoot abroad! ✈️

ASOS DESIGN stone wide leg trouser, £26
ASOS: Living the dream😍 So we wanna know, who are some of your fave peeps to work with, and who would you LOVE to work with?
GEORGIE: I love all my clients, for me it’s like a small work family! We go through so much in a day you really end up building some amazing friendships. I would say Molly-Mae & I have a very special relationship, she is the kindest most caring human I have ever met, she has a heart of gold. We recently styled her book cover - if you haven’t got a copy yet- get one! And an opportunity to style Lily Rose Depp would be the dream job!
ASOS: So cool. OK, let's get into our ASOS DESIGN trends now, can you tell us a lil bit about them?
GEORGIE: Pool Party is the ultimate hot girl summer trend, you can have so much fun with these looks. I love mixing different textures on holiday and you can really be a little free and enjoy styling these pieces up. And then with Sweet Escape it's all about summer fashion staples with a flirty couture feel!

ASOS DESIGN stone linen jumpsuit, £56
ASOS: Nailed it! And how would you style them?
GEORGIE: With Pool Party, I’d always go back to mixing new pieces with a little bit of vintage. A staple for me in my summer wardrobe will forever be large square headscarves- they're so versatile. For Sweet Escape, I would be fun with it push boundaries with bold accessories.
ASOS: *takes notes 📝* Love it. And where are we wearing these trends?
GEORGIE: For Pool Party – to pool parties 😂 I’m thinking long lunches with margaritas. Maybe an Ibiza/Mykonos vibe! Sweet Escape is super versatile, so it would work for day to night. Add a heel and some accessories and you're good to go!
GET THE LOOK:
ASOS DESIGN rust glitter swimsuit, £30
ASOS DESIGN diamante mesh beach cover-up, £52
ASOS: So, if you had to pick ONE fave piece from each trend – what are you going for?
GEORGIE: To name one would be hard there are so many! From pool party the chunky sandals are amazing as they give me a little height - it's is a nice way to not wear heels but still feel dressed up rather than go with flip flops. AND the burnt orange cut out swimsuit - so wearable and flattering! For Sweet Escape, it has to be the botanic tailored short suit for that special standout moment.
ASOS: EXCELLENT choices👏 Thank you so much for chatting with us Georgie! So what’s next for you?
GEORGIE: I’m excited for the next few months, got a few great campaigns coming up! Stay tuned...
