GRAMMYS 2022: GREATEST 'FITS
By Alice Doleman, 4 April 2022
When it comes to fashion, the Grammys never disappoints (shame the same can't be said for the awards – *cough* Doja Cat and Lil Nas X were robbed *cough*) 🤘 As the wilder musical cousin of the Oscars, the Grammys is known for serving experimental/rogue/amazing 'fits, so let's delve into some of our faves from last night – the real winners, if you will 😉

DUA LIPA (FT. MEGAN THEE STALLION)
Dua referenced not one but two iconic moments last night. Her red-carpet dress was a throwback to THE 1992 Versace S&M collection (complete with golden pins and all) 🧷 And then she recreated *that* infamous Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey moment with Megan Thee Stallion. The biggest style lesson? Spice up all-black outfits by adding gold accents, never shy away from bondage vibes and always twin with your gal pal!

JAPANESE BREAKFAST
It's fitting that Michelle Zauner's in a band called Japanese Breakfast given that she's dressed as high-fashion (Valentino) scrambled eggs. In all seriousness, we love the playfulness of this look – exactly what the Grammys red carpet needs. If you're gonna opt for a louder 'fit, you could keep the glam simple OR you could make like Michelle and match your liner to your 'fit and have your nails Pop. Off. 😍

SAWEETIE
Immediately, yes. With this new-season Valentino co-ord Saweetie's playing with three of our fave spring trends: opera gloves (impractical but they ELEVATE), tiny tops with voluminous bottoms (such a cool silhouette) and PINK (no explanation needed). She even matched her hair to her diamond choker because why the F not? She's the ICY GRL, after all 💎

BILLIE EILISH
Billie in Rick Owens. That's it. That's the tweet. Lol jks. Yes, it's an all-black outfit (again) but it's giving everything that it needs to. The shapes are interesting, the textures are varied, the hair is youthful and cool, and we're very into the pop of leg with the boot that ends mid-calf. ASOS tip: invest in some tiny sunglasses now – they're gonna be THE trending item of the summer.

OLIVIA RODRIGO
Wearing Vivienne Westwood to collect your three Grammys? Iconic. Olivia really won on ALL fronts last night. She served red-carpet LA glamour AND the perfect Gen Z pop-star-royalty 'fit. Turns out the secret is pairing an angelic white ruffled dress with fishnets, boots and a choker. We're defs gonna be copying 😇
