LESS IS MORE

French women love to keep things simple. But this doesn’t mean they don’t wear makeup; it just means it doesn’t look like they do. And they don't worry about blemishes or imperfections showing through – it's all about owning them. To do chic right, apply concealer and foundation only where you feel you need it and you can also mix a small amount of your base prods with moisturiser for a glowier, more natural finish.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR PRODUCTS

A classic Parisian way to do beauty is to think outside the box – like mixing things together (think concealers and serums) and using your prods in new and creative ways. Cos why just wear lipstick on your lips when you could use it as a blusher or an eyeshadow? The same goes for your bronzer; maybe stick that on your eyelids as well as your cheeks, or grab a brow pencil or brown eyeliner to dab on some faux freckles. (Just make sure whatever you're experimenting with is safe to use around your eyes or wherever you choose!)

RED LIPS ARE NEVER OUT OF STYLE

If a glam Parisian wants to go from day to night, you can BET there’s a red lip involved – especially in a gorge crimson colour (which suits all skin tones btw 💕). To make sure there’s minimal chapping, we’d recommend a lip scrub (this Charlotte Tilbury one is an ASOS Exclusive!) and a lip mask to make sure they’re hydrated for a very bonne nuit!
