Want to get creative with your nails now that plans are back? Or maybe you want some inspo for the salon once it's open again... Well, to help you nail (😅) your post-lockdown mani, we asked some of IG's biggest nail artists to paint us some amazing designs. Below, they give us the lowdown on their creations, plus some sweet tips to create your own 💅

What's the inspo behind this look?
I was inspired by the colourway of a pair of Nike trainers, and their mixture of shapes and overlapping colours, plus the iconic tick!
How did you create it?
I used a soft pinky gel for the base of the nails then hand-painted the art using gel polish.
Your top tip when it comes to creating nail art?
Sometimes I plan a design, but usually I just go with the flow. Let your creativity guide you and do what feels right!
What are some of the biggest nail trends you’re seeing RN?
As an artist I actually don’t look at trends in the nail industry, instead I look to music, fashion and culture to create my designs.

What's the inspo behind the look?
I was inspired by bright, floral retro prints. My dotting tools were the MVPs – I used different-sized ones to get the little flowers.
What’s your top tip when it comes to creating nail art?
Don't rush the process, and continue to clean your nail-art brushes and tools as you're creating your design.
What are some of the biggest nail trends you’re seeing right now?

Right now, I'm seeing a ton of wavy designs and organic shapes with negative space. I think, post-lockdown, there'll be tons of really bold, mix-and-match, sparkly and fun designs.

What inspires you?
I get inspiration from all over, but colour tends to guide me the most. It comes via everything, from browsing in a grocery store to people's outfits.

How did you create this look?
To create the fruit-inspired art, I blended the colours together to give the fruit a realistic look with loads of detailing, using a fine nail-art brush and HP gel.

What are set to be some of the biggest post-lockdown trends?

I think people are going to go all-out in the salon with all the inspo they've seen on social that they couldn't recreate at home, with neon colours, sparkles and embellishments!

Who or what inspires your work as a nail artist?

My main inspiration comes from fashion, art and nature, and the people, diversity and creativity in London – along with all the incredible artists and celebrities I work with.
