Top tip for keeping makeup on throughout the day
“A setting spray is my absolute go-to to lock in your makeup look for the whole day. A lot of them are alcohol-based, which can create dryness and texture in your skin over time. However, the Bobbi Brown Primer Plus Hydrating Setting Spray is formulated with humectants and skin soothers like green tea and cucumber, which means your skin stays hydrated but you’ll get a long-wearing, luminous finish, too.”

Finding the right foundation shade
“Finding the right undertone (warm, cool or neutral) is key to finding your foundation shade. To work this out, have a look at your skin in natural light: if you see mostly pink tones, this means you have cool undertones; if you see more golden or yellow tones, you have warm undertones; if you see a balance of pink and yellow tones, you have a neutral undertone. And if you’re unsure, look at the veins on your wrist: if they appear blue, you have a cool undertone; if they look green, you have a warm undertone; and if there’s a little if both, you have a neutral undertone.”

How to apply your foundation like a pro
“I love applying foundation with a Full Coverage Face Brush. I’ll always apply from the centre panel of the face (where you generally want more coverage) and blend outwards toward the edges of the face (avoid blending upwards as this can lift the tiny hairs on your face and catch the foundation underneath creating texture on the skin). Avoid applying your foundation with your hands if possible, as the natural oils can mix with the foundation and cause it to break down. This might be the reason why your foundation isn't staying put throughout the day!"

Tricks for concealer if you want a natural-looking finish (and no lines!)
“For a sheer, natural-looking finish, go for a hydrating concealer like the Intensive Skin Serum Concealer. It’s formulated with skin-loving ingredients that help balance moisture levels and it leaves a super-flattering satin finish. Apply a small amount with the Full Cover Touch Up Brush and then pat in gently with your ring finger. Finish with a sweep of Nude Finish Illuminating Powder for a truly second-skin finish.”

The best makeup brushes every artist swears by

“The Full Coverage Face Brush is always in my bag, as it’s amazing for speedy on-the-go touch-ups and blends away any makeup mishaps in seconds. Also, the Sheer Powder Brush is another must-have for me, as it can be used for any powder product and has the perfect tapered shape for blush, bronzer and beyond.”

Applying mascara so it doesn't smudge
“At fashion week, we will always apply two mascara formulas to make sure that lashes are locked in. Start with the Smokey Eye Mascara to build volume, depth, length and definition, and then layer the No Smudge Mascara [back in stock soon – watch this space!] over the top. The No Smudge formula is lightweight and designed to act like a raincoat to seal in your mascara, making it last throughout the day.”

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

The key to creating a great base
“Great makeup starts with great skin; prepping the skin is probably the most important part of any makeup application! For me, it’s important to use products that will give me a perfect canvas for foundation, like the Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base, which energise and smooth your skin thanks to a nourishing vitamin blend that helps protect and revive the skin in seconds.”

Creating an easy smokey eye
“For a 3-minute smokey eye, there's nothing easier than the Long-wear Cream Shadow Sticks; they're easy to use and blend like a dream. Apply a mid-tone shade, like Golden Bronze, from your lash line to the crease and underneath the eye. Soften with the Eye Shadow Brush. Next, apply a darker shade, like Bark, as a liner shade along the upper and lower lash line, and blend again. Finally, add lashings of Smokey Eye Mascara for a final touch of glam.”

Your ultimate pro makeup tip
“Fall back in love with blush! A pop of colour instantly lifts and brightens any complexion. I love Pot Rouge, as it's creamy, dewy and absolutely foolproof. Smile and then tap a little onto the apples of your cheeks using your fingers and you'll have a healthy-looking, glowing complexion in seconds!”
